MICRO FIBRE SURROUND
The TS-M171PRS and TS-S101PRS incorporate the extremely light
Micro Fibre Surround, which is made of articial suede. This, combined
with a short voice coil and the overhung thick plate, makes for a very
smooth and exible excursion, resulting in superior sound quality.
MULTILAYER CONE TECHNOLOGY
Combining an Aramid Fibre skin, a composite formed IMPP™ cone
using Interlaced Aramid Fibre and a Glass Fibre skin, the TS-M171PRS’s
multilayer cone boasts strong bend rigidity. In addition, because
this 3-layer cone does not use an adhesive, it is also lighter.
For the TS-S101PRS, a dual-layer composite cone with Aramid Fibre
and pulp is used. As a result, the multilayer cone allows for superior
sound reproduction throughout the low and mid-high ranges.
LINEAR MOVING SYSTEM WITH MAGNETIC CIRCUIT
The TS-M171PRS and TS-S101PRS incorporate a short voice coil
and special magnetic circuit design with overhung surround. Thanks to
this construction, the TS-M171PRS and TS-S101PRS ensure symmetrical
distribution of the magnetic ux and an accurate excursion.
