5. Press SELECT

6. Press 0 (for region free), or 1, ..., 6 (for the different regional codes)

You can check the change by following the usual sequence: MENU, 1, 3, 5, 7

1. Open the disc tray

2. Press SETUP

3. Press 13698888 (or 13798888)

4. A new entry shows up (Version)

5. Select it

6. Press ENTER

7. In the "Regional" page press RIGHT

8. Select RC with DOWN (0=codefree)

9. Press ENTER

2. Go to "Preferences"

3. Press 1, 3, 7, 9

4. Select region (0 = multi-region)
