1. Switch on the player with no disc in tray
2. Press and hold STOP on the player until "initial" is displayed on the LCD
3. Release the STOP button
4. Press VOLUME- until the minimum is reached
5. Press VOLUME+ until the maximum is reached
6. Press OPEN/CLOSE and put in your disc
7. Close the tray
JVC VCD 2000 BK
1. Turn the player off
2. Press and hold ONSCREEN and DVD MENU
3. Turn on the player
4. Release ONSCREEN and DVD MENU
5. Press STBY ON; "test 4" is displayed
6. Press DVD MENU twice
7. Press UP until "02Exxxx" is displayed
8. Select RC: 000X (X = 1-6 or "0" for multi-region)
9. Press ENTER to save
10. Press STBY OFF, STBY ON
JVC XDB 2000 / XDB 2000 BK / XV 2000 / XV 200 BK / XV D 2000 / XV N 5
1. Turn on the player (without a disc inserted)
2. Press and hold ON SCREEN and DVD MENU
3. Turn on the player
4. Release the keys
5. Press STANDBY/ON
6. Device should be in test mode now
7. Press DVD MENU twice
8. Press UP, DOWN until "02E" is displayed
9. Select desired RC (last digit) with RIGHT, LEFT (0=codefree)
10. Press ENTER
11. Press STANDBY/ON

1. (with no disc in the tray)
2. Press and hold PLAY and OPEN/CLOSE
3. Turn on the player
4. Release PLAY and OPEN/CLOSE
5. Press 3D-PHONIC
6. Press MENU, MENU
"000 5858" is displayed
7. Change "000" to "02e" with DOWN
8. How to change the last four digits:
0000 for codefree
0101 for RC 1, 0202 for RC 2, ...
9. Press ENTER
10. Press STANDBY
