Solutions:
(1) Check the GPS signal reception (➞ Page 46)
and the position of the GPS aerial if neces-
sary, or continue driving until reception
improves. Keep the aerial clear.
(2) Check that the cables are properly con-
nected. If necessary, consult the dealer that
installed the system.
(3) Check that the main unit is securely
mounted and, if necessary, consult the
dealer that installed the system.
(4) Connect the speed signal input (pink lead
wire) of the power cable correctly, and reset
the 3D Hybrid Sensor (“Learning Status”).
(5) Check the installation position of the main
unit of your Navigation System and the set-
ting of the Installation direction lever (➞
“Installation Manual”).
(6) Confirm the installation angle. (This unit
must be installed within +30 degrees to -15
degrees of the horizontal, or within five
degrees of your vehicle’s direction of travel.)
(7) Check whether or not the reverse gear signal
input lead (purple) is connected properly.
(The Navigation System works properly with-
out the lead connected, but positioning accu-
racy will be adversely affected.)
The map continually reorients itself.
Possible causes:
The display is set to “Heading Up”.
Solutions:
Check the settings (➞ Page 20) and change the
setting to “North Up”.
Tracking marks are not displayed.
Possible causes:
The “Tracking Display” is turned off.
Solutions:
Check the “Tracking Display” settings (➞
Page 49) and make sure “On (Always)” or “On
(This journey)” is selected.
The daylight display is used even when
the vehicle lights are on.
Possible causes:
(1) “Daytime” is selected on “Day/Night Dis-
play”.
(2) The Orange/white lead is not connected.
Solutions:
(1) Check the “Day/Night Display” setting (➞
Page 48) and make sure “Illuminated” is
selected.
(2) Check the connection.
The system will not switch on or will
not operate.
Possible causes:
Installation or connection has been carried out
incorrectly.
Solutions:
Check with your dealer.
The display is very dim.
Possible causes:
(1) The vehicle’s light is turned ON, and
“Illuminated” is selected on “Day/Night
Display”.
(2) The vehicle cabin temperature is extremely
low.
Solutions:
(1) Read about the “Day/Night Display” set-
ting (➞ Page 48) and, if desired, select
“Daytime”.
(2) A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) is used, and
such displays tend to darken when cold. Wait
for the vehicle to warm up.
There is no voice guidance or the vol-
ume is low.
Possible causes:
The volume setting is low.
Solutions:
Check the volume setting on the display or turn
the volume up according to “Hardware Vol-
ume” (➞ Page 48) and/or turn up the volume on
the display.
