Connecting the Units • Secure all wiring with cable clamps or electrical tape. Do not allow any bare wiring to remain exposed. • Do not shorten any leads. If you do, the protection circuit may fail to work properly. • Never feed power to other electronic products by cutting the insulation of the power supply lead of the navigation unit and tapping into the lead. The current capacity of the lead will be exceeded, causing overheating.
Connecting the Units Notes • This unit is for vehicles with a 12-volt battery and negative grounding. Before installing it in a recreational vehicle, truck, or bus, check the battery voltage. • To avoid shorts in the electrical system, be sure to disconnect the ≠ battery cable before beginning installation. • Refer to the owner’s manual for details on connecting the power amp and other units, then make connections correctly. • Secure the wiring with cable clamps or adhesive tape.

Installation To guard against electromagnetic interference • In order to prevent interference, set the following items as far as possible from the main unit of this Navigation System, other cables or leads: – TV antenna and antenna lead – FM, MW/LW antenna and its lead – GPS aerial and its lead In addition you should lay each antenna lead as far as possible from other antenna leads. Do not bind them together, lay them together, or cross them.

Installation Installing the GPS aerial CAUTION • Do not cut the GPS aerial lead to shorten it or use an extension to make it longer. Altering the aerial cable could result in a short circuit. Notes • The aerial should be installed on a level surface where radio waves will be blocked as little as possible. Radio waves cannot be received by the aerial if reception from the satellite is blocked. Installation on the vehicle roof or boot lid is recommended to enable best reception. (Fig.
Installation When installing the aerial inside the vehicle (on the dashboard or rear shelf) (Fig. 11) GPS aerial Metal Sheet Peel off the protective sheet on the rear. Notes • During the check, the vehicle must be outdoors and the GPS antenna must have a clear view of all directions. It may take a few minutes until sufficient GPS reception is available. The next display appears during this period. A calibration journey is requested when sufficient GPS reception is available.

The distance to be covered depends on the type of vehicle and the local conditions. Note • The navigation system is only ready for operation on completion of the calibration journey. Durante ese tiempo aparecerá el siguiente mensaje en el display: Si hay recepción GPS suficiente, se solicitará el recorrido de calibración.

Einbauverfahren Zur Vermeidung elektromagnetischen Rauschens Navigationseinheit • Um Störeinflüsse zu vermeiden, sind die folgenden Bauteile so weit wie möglich entfernt von der Haupteinheit der Navigationseinheit, anderen Kabeln oder Leitungen zu installieren: – Fernsehantenne und Antennenkabel – Radioantenne (UKW, MW/LW) und Antennenkabel – GPS-Antenne und Antennenkabel Außerdem ist jedes Antennenkabel so weit wie möglich entfernt von anderen Antennenkabeln zu verlegen.

Hinweise • Die Antenne ist auf einer ebenen Fläche zu befestigen, die für Radiowellen gut zugänglich sein sollte. Der Empfang der Signale durch die Antenne ist nur möglich, wenn die Signale vom Satellit nicht blockiert werden.

Einstellen der Navigation 7 Nach der Sprachinstallation muß vor Beginn der Kalibrierungsfahrt auf GPS Empfang gewartet werden. Hinweise • Während dieser Überprüfung muß sich das Fahrzeug unter freiem Himmel befindet und die GPS Antenne möglichst freie Sicht in alle Richtungen haben. Es kann einige Minuten dauern bis ausreichender GPS Empfang vorhanden ist. Während dieser Zeit wird das nebenstehende Display angezeigt. Mit ausreichend GPS Empfang wird zur Kalibrierungsfahrt aufgefordert.
Einstellen der Navigation Werkstatt Mode Im Werkstatt Mode lassen sich folgende Funktionen anwählen: 2 Bei einem bereits kalibrierten Gerät durch Drücken der Taste NAVI/OK das Navigationsgrundmenü anwählen. Das Gerät schaltet in den Werkstatt Mode zurück.
Einstellen der Navigation Funktionskontrolle von Geschwindigkeitssignal, Rückwärtssignals, gerätinterner Sensorik Funktionskontrolle der GPS Antenne 1 Im Werkstattmodus SENSORIK mit dem Drehregler anwählen und durch Drücken bestätigen. Einstellen der Navigation Kalibrierung Löschen der Kalibrierung Kalibrierung Wird das Navigationssystem aus einem Fahrzeug ausgebaut und in ein anderes Fahrzeug eingebaut, muß die Kalibrierung durchgeführt werden. Hierzu müssen jedoch unbedingt die aktuellen Kalibrierungsdaten gelöscht werden. Nach der Erstinbetriebnahme ist eine Kalibreirungsfahrt notwendig. Dabei werden automatisch das Tachometersignal an fahrzeugspezifische Daten und die Gyro-Sensoren an die Geräteeinbaulage angepasst.
Einstellen der Navigation 2 ÄNDERN mit dem Drehregler anwählen und durch Drücken bestätigen. English 6 Die zuvor eingegebenen Daten werden nochmals angezeigt. Wenn die eingegebenen Daten korrekt, sind die Taste NAVI/OK drücken. Für eine eventuelle Korrektur ÄNDERN durch Drehen des Drehreglers auswählen und durch Drücken bestätigen. Die Werte können dann erneut eingegeben werden. 3 Die Geratedrehung in Grad kann durch Drehen des Drehreglers ausgewählt und durch Drücken bestätigt werden.
Einstellen der Navigation Als nächstes muß zur ungefähren Angabe der Profiltiefe durch Drehen des Drehreglers zwischen PROFIL NEU und PROFIL GEBRAUCHT ausgewählt werden. Raccordements des appareils • Immobilisez tous les fils avec des colliers ou des serre-câbles. Ne laissez aucun fil à nu. • N’alimentez jamais d’autres appareils électroniques en coupant la gaine isolante du cordon d’alimentation de l’unité de navigation et en y effectuant des raccords, car la capacité du cordon serait dépassée, ce qui provoquerait une surchauffe.
Raccordements des appareils Remarques • Cet appareil est destiné aux véhicules avec une batterie de 12 V, avec pôle négatif à la masse. Avant de l’installer dans un véhicule de loisir, un camion ou un car, vérifier la tension de la batterie. • Afin d’éviter tout risque de court-circuit, débrancher le câble de la borne négative ≠ de la batterie avant de commencer la pose.

Ne les reliez pas ensemble, ne les assemblez pas ou ne les croisez pas.

Remarques • L’antenne doit être installée sur une surface à niveau où les ondes radio sont bloquées le moins possible. Les ondes radio ne peuvent pas être captées correctement par l’antenne si la réception des satellites est gênée.

Réglage le navigation 7 Après l’installation vocale, vous de devez attendre la réception GPS avant de commencer le parcours de calibrage. Remarques • Lors de cette vérification, votre véhicule doit se trouver à l’extérieur et l’antenne GPS ne doit rencontrer aucun obstacle obstruant la réception. Cela peut durer quelques minutes jusqu’à ce que la réception GPS soit suffisante. Pendant ce temps, l’écran ci-contre apparaît.Lorsque la réception GPS est suffisante,le parcours de calibrage peut alors commencer.

Installazione Installazione dell’antenna GPS PRECAUZIONE • Non tagliare il cavo dell’antenna GPS per accorciarlo e non usare una prolunga per allungarlo. Un’alterazione del cavo antenna può risultare in cortocircuiti. Note • L’antenna deve essere installata su una superficie piana dove le onde radio siano bloccate il meno possibile. Le onde radio non possono essere ricevute dall’antenna se la ricezione dal satellite è bloccata.
Installazione Quando si installa l’antenna all’interno del veicolo (sul cruscotto o sul piano portaoggetti posteriore) (Fig. 11) Antenna GPS Español Lastra metallica Togliere il foglio protettivo sul retro. Regolazione del navigazione 7 Dopo l’installazione della lingua, prima dell’inizio del giro di calibratura, si deve attendere la ricezione GPS. Note • Durante questa verifica il veicolo deve trovarsi all’aperto e l’antenna GPS avrà, possibilmente, libera visualizzazione in tutte le direzioni. Può durare qualche minuto, prima che la ricezione GPS sia presente. In questo lasso di tempo viene mostrato il display vicino. Con ricezione GPS sufficiente viene sollecitato il giro di calibratura.

Regolazione del navigazione Calibratura Calibratura Dopo la prima messa in funzione, è necessario compiere un giro di calibratura, durante il quale, automaticamente, l’elemento di segnalazione tachimetro viene adattato ai dati specifici del veicolo e i girosensori alla posizione di montaggio degli strumenti. Il tragitto da percorrere dipende dal tipo di veicolo e dalle condizioni del luogo.
Regolazione del navigazione 2 Selezionare con la manopola MODIFICARE e confermare premendo. Nel caso in cui il numero degli impulsi delle ruote, per rotazione della ruota, non è noto, si deve scegliere SCONOSCIUTI. L’inserimento dei dati pneumatici no possibile. Aansluiten • Maak alle draden met kabelklemmen of isolatietape vast. Let er tevens op dat er geen draden bloot liggen. • Maak ook geen enkele andere draad korter. Het is anders mogelijk dat het beveiligingscircuit niet juist werkt. • Tap nooit stroom af van de stroomtoevoerdraad van het navigatie-eenheid voor de voeding van andere elektronische apparatuur. De stroomcapaciteit van de draad kan overschreden worden, met oververhitting tot gevolg.
Aansluiten Opmerkingen • Dit apparaat is bestemd voor inbouw in auto’s met een negatief geaarde 12-volts accu. Alvorens u het installeert in een auto, bus, vrachtwagen of ander voer- of vaartuig, dient u eerst te controleren of de accuspanning de juiste is. • Om kortsluiting te vermijden, dient u vooral voor het installeren de negatieve ≠ accukabel los te maken. • Zie voor het aansluiten van de eindversterker en andere apparatuur de gebruiksaanwijzing en volg de aanwijzingen nauwgezet op.

Als u deze stroomdraad aansluit op een punt dat altijd stroom krijgt, kan de accu leegraken als u de auto enkele uren ongebruikt laat. (Afb.

Installeren Voorkomen van elektromagnetische storing in het navigatie-eenheid • Om geluiden te voorkomen moeten de volgende voorwerpen zo ver mogelijk van het hoofdapparaat van de navigatie-eenheid alsmede andere kabels en draden worden geplaatst: –TV-antenne en antennekabel –FM-, MG-/LG-antenne met de kabel –GPS-antenne met de kabel Bovendien moeten de diverse antennekabels zo ver mogelijk van elkaar worden aangebracht. Ze mogen niet samen worden bevestigd of elkaar kruisen.

Installeren Bevestigen van de GPS antenne BELANGRIJK • Maak de GPS antennedraad niet korter en ook niet langer. Wijzigen van de antennedraad kan resulteren in kortsluiting. Opmerkingen • De antenne dient op een zo horizontaal mogelijk oppervlak te worden bevestigd op een plaats waar de ontvangst van de radiogolven zo min mogelijk wordt gehinderd. De antenne kan de radiogolven van de satelliet alleen ontvangen als er geen obstakel tussen de antenne en de satelliet is.

Instellen van de navigatie Kalibrering 3 Door op des BACK toets te drukken, komt u naar de systeeminstellingen. Vervolgens wordt u verzocht de taal te selecteren. Français Italiano 5 Selecteer de gewenste stem met de draaiknop. Bij een aantal talen kunt u kiezen uit mannelijke en vrouwelijke stemmen. Door hierop te drukken wordt de stem overgenomen en geïnstalleerd. Deutsch 4 Selecteer met de draaiknop de gewenste taal.
Instellen van de navigatie 7 Na de installatie van de taal moet u voor het begin van de kalibreringsrit op het GPSontvangst wachten. 9 Nadat de tests zijn beëindigd, kan de kalibreringsrit beginnen. De modus werkplaats wordt door meermaals drukken op de NAVI/OK toets beëindigd. Opmerkingen • Tijdens deze controle moet de auto buiten staan. De GPS-antenne moet zoveel mogelijk vrije zicht in alle richtingen hebben. Het kan een aantal minuten duren tot er voldoende GPS-ontvangst aanwezig is.
Instellen van de navigatie Modus werkplaats In de modus werkplaats kunnen onderstaande functies worden geselecteerd: 2 Bij een toestel dat al is gekalibreerd, selecteert u met een druk op NAVI/OK toets het basismenu van het navigatiesysteem. Deutsch 4 Druk tegelijkertijd op de multifunctionele knoppen 3 en 5. De modus Werkplaats wordt opgeroepen. Español 3 Door op de BACK toets te drukken, komt u naar de systeeminstellingen.
Instellen van de navigatie Controle van de sensoriek van de auto zelf en het systeem resp. functies Controle van de systeemcomponenten (test van toestel) Een testprogramma test automatisch de interne componenten van het navigatiesysteem. Testen van de taal Met een testprogramma kan de verbale weergave worden gecontroleerd. 1 Selecteer in de modus Werkplaats MODULPROEF met de draaiknop en bevestig dit door op de draaiknop te drukken.
Instellen van de navigatie Controle van de werking van het snelheidssignaal, achteruitrijsignaal, de sensoriek van het toestel zelf 2 Om de GPS-test te verlaten, drukt u toets NAVI/OK in. Vervolgens gaat u terug in de modus Werkplaats. Français Italiano 3 Voor het controleren van de werking van het achteruitrijsignaal zet u de koppeling in de achteruitrijversnelling. Het getal achter ACHTERUIT: moet van 0 op 1 (1 op 0) springen. • Voor een goede en snelle kalibrering heeft u minimaal FIX 2D nodig.
Instellen van de navigatie Kalibrering Kalibrering Na de eerste inbedrijfstelling moet een kalibreringsrit worden uitgevoerd. Hierbij worden automatisch het signaal van de kilometerteller aan de specifieke gegevens van de auto en de Gyro-sensoren aan de inbouwpositie van het toestel aangepast. Het te rijden traject is afhankelijk van het type auto en van de plaatselijke omstandigheden.
Instellen van de navigatie 2 Selecteer met de draaiknop WIJZIGEN en bevestig dit door op de draaiknop te drukken. 5 Vervolgens kan het getal van het wielimpuls per omwenteling (voor zover bekend) worden geselecteerd door de draaiknop te draaien en kan met een druk op de draaiknop worden bevestigd. 8 Voer met behulp van de draaiknop de bandenmaat in en druk vervolgens langer dan 2 seconden op de draaiknop om de invoer te bevestigen. Italiano De hoek van het toestel is gelijk met de verticale toestelhoek.
Instellen van de navigatie De letter “R” kan niet worden ingevoerd. Voor en na de schuine strepen moeten 3 getallen worden ingevoerd. Ontbrekende getallen met een “0” ervoor invullen. Voorbeeld: Aanduiding op de banden: 185/55R15 81T Invoer: 185/055/015 Vervolgens selecteert u voor het aangeven van de diepte van het profiel met de draaiknop tussen PROFIEL NIEUW en PROFIEL GEBRUIKT. Vervolgens bevestigt u de selectie met een druk op de NAVI/OK toets.
