image data or audio files stored on a
USB storage device that has numerous
folder hierarchies.
JPEG picture les
• JPEG is short for Joint Photographic
Experts Group and refers to a still image
compression technology standard.
• Files are compatible with Baseline
JPEG and EXIF 2.1 still images up to a
resolution of 8 192 × 7 680. (EXIF format
is used most commonly with digital still
cameras.)
• Playback of EXIF format files that were
processed by a personal computer may
not be possible.

Important
• When naming a JPEG image le, add the
corresponding filename extension (.jpg,
.jpeg, .jpe or .jf).
• This unit plays back files with these
filename extensions (.jpg, .jpeg, .jpe
or .j f if) a s a JP EG i mage fi l e . T o
prevent malfunctions, do not use these
extensions for files other than JPEG
image les.
CAUTION
Pioneer accepts no responsibility for data
lost on the USB memory/USB portable
audio player even if that data is lost while
using this unit.
iPod compatibility
This unit supports only the following iPod
models.

Depending on the generation or version
of the iPod, some functions may not be
available.
Operations may vary depending on the
software version of iPod.
When u s i n g a n iPod, a n i P o d Dock
Connector to USB Cable is required.
A Pioneer CD-IU51V interface cable is also
available. For details, consult your dealer.
