Chapter DVD Authoring
14 - 16
DVD Authoring: Reference
If you move a Link to a Sequence position using the mouse (drag and drop), you can auto-
matically edit the name (see
“Options Tab” on page 14-48).
When you use the AutoLink functions, the chapter names are assigned automatically (for
example, “Edit03” or “Clip08”) but you can still edit them afterwards.
w Jump to -
The Timeline timecode for the Link, the “target address”.
To avoid “VOB problems”, make sure the Links are not set too closely together
(
page 14-35).
w Tr a c k -
Specifies the Tr a ck to which a Link relates: In the case of an Anchored Target (with relation
to a Timeline clip), it specifies the name of the Tr a c k on which the clip is located.
If there is no entry or this field contains “---”, it specifies an Absolute Target, i.e. a Link
with a permanent relation to the Timeline. In this way, you can easily distinguish between
target types in the list.
w Auto(play) -
this column displays an asterisk (*), if the Autoplay function was enabled for a menu but-
ton.
Autoplay causes - after a user-defined period of time - a jump to a predefined chapter
(Ta rget), if no button was pressed within this time (
page 14-30).
w All other column headings -
refer to menu button highlights (see
“Highlight tab” on page 14-36).
Right-click a Link in the list to display its shortcut menu and access the commands and options
described in the next section.
