User Guide
The chapters that follow are arranged to reflect the typical sequence of a video postproduction
workflow, from digitizing to mastering. With this arrangement, you have the option of either
working through the entire sequence or reading selected sections and skipping over those that
you do not (yet) need.
Signup
Logging on to the system; working with user names and User Profiles.
Input
Everything you need to know about the raw materials of editing: Digitizing audio/video; import-
ing graphics, titles, etc.; transferring Projects in ALE format; importing edit decision lists (EDLs).
Administration
Arranging and viewing the material; working with Media Files; creating a rough cut (storyboard-

Edit
The different methods for editing (cutting) films with sample applications; basics of audio edit-
ing; special functions (nesting and consolidating Sequences).
Finish
Fine editing of audio material and everything you need to know about effects (video and audio),
as well as creating titles using the integrated title generator.
Output
How to output an edited film on tape, exporting various data formats (single images, animation,
edit decision lists), OMF export and networking with other postproduction applications.
