I. MFA1KW PA HOUSING
The MFA1KW is the main RF Power Amplifi er housing which accommodates two (2) U600LDV2
Amplifi ers. The housing includes the following:
2 ea. 330 CFM cooling fans
2 ea. Air fi lter assemblies
2 ea. Front panel status PC Boards
1 ea. Main chassis
2 ea. Mechanical slide assemblies
1 ea. AC Filtered inlet for cooling fans

J. U600LDV2 POWER AMPLIFIER
The U600LDV2 is the main RF Power Amplifi er Assembly used in the UTX1KW-A. Each Amplifi er
assembly is made up of fi ve (5) U250LD power pallets. Each power pallet uses two (2) Phillips BLF861A
power LDMOS FETs. These amplifi ers are operated in Class A/AB or sometimes referred to as “HARD
AB”. This refers to the bias levels to achieve best linearity.
Each U600LDV2 amplifi er assembly includes the following:
5 ea. U250LD power pallets
1 ea. 4-way splitter
1 ea. 4-way combiner
1 ea. phase & gain matching circuit (1A0018)
1 ea. Pwr distribution module (1A0025)
1 ea. high power isolator
3 ea. thermal sensors
1 ea. remote monitor port (DB9)
1 ea. front panel status port (molex)
1 ea. fi ltered DC input port
1 ea. Type N panel mounted RF Input port
1 ea. Type N Panel mounted RF Output port

K. UC1KW COMBINER
The UC1KW is a 2-way in phase broadband combiner. This is a closed unit and cannot be reserviced.
