OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS This microtome is a precision instrument and must be handled with care. Even slight damage to the slide-way will reduce the precision. A) Unpack carefully and wipe off the anti-corrosive with gauze or a soft cloth and benzene or a similar solvent. Do not use acetone or trichlorethylene. MAKE SURE THAT SLIDING SURFACES ARE FREE OF DIRT AND WELL LUBRICATED BEFORE MOVING FEEDING DEVICE AND KNIFE BLOCK. B) Put the microtome on the drip tray. Put feeding device into the track.
MAINTENANCE Always clean the slide-way when cutting is completed or at the end of the day. Wipe with a soft cloth and oil all the mechanisms.
