values are erratic FilterLine connection to device

Twist FilterLine connector
clockwise until tight and
firmly seated.
A leak in the FilterLine set Check for connection leaks
and line leaks to patient,
and correct, if necessary.
A mechanically ventilated
patient breathes spontaneously
or patient is talking
No action required.
EtCO

values are consistently
higher than expected
Physiological cause such as
COPD
None.
Inadequate ventilation Check ventilator, increase
ventilatory rate/bagging.
Patient splinting during
breathing
Supporting measures such
as pain relief.
Improper calibration Contact qualified service
personnel.

values are consistently
lower than expected

Twist FilterLine connector
