TTL
The Indra 500 TTL is the next generation of Phottix’s innovative TTL products.
Following the ground-breaking Mitros+ TTL Transceiver Flash, the Indra 500 TTL
gives photographers 500W of TTL power. Most studio lights work only in manual
camera modes, this limits their use in fast-moving environments. The Indra 500
TTL opens up new possibilities and allows photographers to shoot in shutter and
aperture priority modes with incredible power to help unleash their creativity.
High Speed and Second Curtain Sync
Traditional studio lights have limited shutter speeds to 1/200-1/250s. On location
these speeds make balancing ambient light a challenge, having to sacrice desired
depth of eld to get proper exposure. With the Phottix Indra 500 TTL’s High Speed
Sync function photographers can shoot at speeds up to 1/8000s, allowing wider
apertures while still being able to control ambient light.
The Indra 500 TTL TTL’s Second Curtain Sync Functions brings untold functionality
to the table. You can’t do that will a traditional studio light. Flash bracketing and
ash exposure lock can all be used to help get that perfect shot. With Stroboscopic
Mode, the Phottix Indra can be used for special eects and creative images with
ash frequency of 1-100HZ and _ash count of 1-100 times.
Built-in triggering
The Phottix Indra 500 TTL has the power and control of the award-winning Phottix
Odin TTL Flash Trigger inside. Switch between TTL and Manual modes, adjust EV
and manual power levels, use high speed sync and second curtain sync, all from the
Phottix Odin TCU or Mitros+ Flash unit. With the Phottix Odin receivers for Canon
and Nikon built-in, no extra hardware is needed.
Phottix Strato II users can also trigger the Indra 500 TTL. With a Strato II receiver built
into the Indra, Strato II transmitters can trigger the studio light in manual mode.
An optical slave mode is also available. A 3.5mm sync port rounds out the Phottix
Indra’s triggering oerings – it’s compatible with most major triggering systems.
Complete Control
The Indra 500 TTL in TTL mode can be adjusted with +/- EV over three stops – on the
studio light or using an Phottix Odin or Mitros+. Fast adjustments for professional-
level results.
In Manual mode photographers can adjust power levels over eight stops - from
1/1 to 1/128 in 1/3rd stops. Manual mode can be controlled on the Phottix Indra’s
320X240 TFT LCD or using a Phottix Odin TCU or Mitros+ Flash. Stroboscopic Multi
Mode oers a series of rapid ashes – great for capturing multiple images of moving
subject in a single photo or for other special eects. Manual ash power (1/128 to
1/1), ash counts (1-100), and frequency (1-100Hz) can be set on the Phottix Indra in
Stroboscopic Multi Mode.
Upgradeable
The Phottix Indra 500 TTL oers a USB port for future rmware upgrades. As camera
technology changes the Phottix Indra can change with them.
