YUME SCOOTER SAFETY TIPS
a. With practice, you’ll get increasingly more comfortable on your ride.
But, no matter how long you’ve been riding, you should always apply
caution.
b. You might see people on TV or even people you know doing tricks
and stunts, but you shouldn’t try something until you’re absolutely
sure you are ready. Remember, ride smart and stay safe.
c. Be aware of “no parking” areas and only park within the appropriate
or specified parking area. Make sure you look out for others and
never leave your scooter blocking walkways or accessibility ramps.
Apply “extreme” Caution
Who Should Ride A YUME Scooter?
• The YUME product should not be ridden by anyone below the
recommended age (18 years old). It is also recommended that you
already have at least six months of two-wheel cycling experience.
• Endeavor to always wear a helmet, elbow and kneepads that meet the
riders’ regulatory standards. Also, make sure to neatly tie the
shoelaces to keep them out of the wheels’ way.
• Follow Traffic Laws: Always yield to pedestrians for their safety and
yours; Ride on the appropriate driving side per time; Make the
appropriate signal when you’re planning to change directions; Always
follow the traffic light signals; Finally, endeavor to comply with the
local driving laws that pertain to you.
Getting Geared Up
a. Getting Your YUME Ready: Please read the owner’s manual attached
to your scooter’s package before you begin using it. And before every
ride, endeavor to secure your fasteners and check the brakes. Also,
check your wheels for possible wear and tear.
b. Start Slow: Yeah, we know you want to start feeling the high rush of
riding your new scooter, it’s better to start slow. Remember that
you’d need a little while to adjust to using your new scooter.
c. Watch the Terrain and Always: Be at Alert When riding your YUME
scooter, carefully maneuver around water, speed bumps, sand,
gravel, and anything that could cause your front wheel to stop. Also,
avoid steep inclines, don’t ride too fast, avoid riding in other vehicles’
blind spots, and stay focused and alert. And also never ride under the
influence of drugs or alcohol.
NOTE: Do not carry people while riding a scooter.
