Searching for and storing TV stations (on the video recorder} The video recorder has its own tuner, which enables it to receive TV transmissions independent of your TV set. Your video recorder is also equipped with an FST (Frequency Synthesized Tuning) system. This allows searching TV stations and storing them on per-selection numbers in the video recorder's memory. The per-selection numbers will be used Eater fo specify which TV station is to be recorded.
Tuner only mode Iris possible to use your video retarder as a TV tuner. This means that you can leave your TV set on the per-selection number for the video recorder and select the stations for TV viewing. # The tuner only mode can only be selected from the standby mode. Recording and re-recording What you should do: -~ note down the start and finish tape position readings on Display 1 when you record 2 cassette; write down the readings on the index card. Note: When you record on a cassette, any previous recording on that part of the tape Is erased. Protecting recorded cassettes To prevent re-use and erasure of recordings which you wish o keep indefinitely, remove the erase prevention tab on the rear edge of the cassettes.

17 and 18 Down + and Up — With these buttons the following can be changed: per-selection {programmer} numbers channel numbers clock/ealendar (in set clock mode} programming data (in mire mode). 24 Tape Counter Memory (only for VR 6285) When Tape Counter Memory button 24 is pressed, the Display shows ‘M. The video retarder will stop the tape at the memorized tape saunter position during Fast Forward and Rewind modes.
