Edit Programme Title and
Category
1 Press PLAY or STOP to select
the programme you want to edit,
then press OK/STATUS.
2 Press NUMBER keys to enter
characters, then press OK/STATUS.
Refer to “Entering Character” in the
next column.
3 Press PLAY or STOP to select
the category, then press OK/
STATUS.
Every time you press PLAY or
STOP , the setting will change as
follows:

Title Editing
When you record a TV programme
with this VCR, the VCR automatically
records the recording start and stop
time, date, and channel in each
programme title. If the tape is recorded
for the first time, the tape number and
the date and time are recorded in the
tape title. You can then edit the tape
title and the programme titles as you
like. You can also edit the category in
the programme title.
1Select Edit Title Mode
1 Press VCR.
2 Press MENU.
3 Press PLAY or STOP to select
“TAPE MANAGER”, then press
OK/STATUS.
4 Press PLAY or STOP to select
“EDIT TITLE”, then press OK/
STATUS. The tape preview screen
will appear;
• The “

” mark indicates the current
inserted tape.
5 Press PLAY or STOP to select
the tape you want to edit, then press
OK/STATUS.
2Edit Tape Title
1 To edit the tape title, press OK/
STATUS.
2 Press NUMBER keys to enter
characters, then press OK/STATUS.
Refer to “Entering Character” in the
next column.
Entering Character
Press NUMBER key, then press FF
to enter each character. Refer to the
example below:
(Ex.) Enter “CNN NEWS”
1 Press 2 (ABC) three times to enter
“C”, then press FF .
2 Press 6 (MNO) twice to enter “N”,
then press FF .
3 Press 6 (MNO) twice to enter “N”,
then press FF .
4 Press 0 ( ) twice to enter “
(space)”, then press FF .
5 Press 6 (MNO) twice to enter “N”,
then press FF .
6 Press 3 (DEF) twice to enter “E”,
then press FF .
7 Press 9 (WXYZ) once to enter “W”,
then press FF .
8 Press 7 (PQRS) four times to enter
“S”, then press FF .
• If you make a mistake, press to
select the character, then enter the
correct character.
• If you want to delete a character,
press to select the character,
then press CLEAR.
