Viewfinder display Warning/alarm indications in the viewfinder The following indications are displayed in the viewfinder to inform you about the conditions of the Camcorder. Viewfinder Conditions VD, DEWEY Overeat When condensation has formed inside the Camcorder, the “DEW” indication will flash and a few seconds later, the Camcorder will turn itself off. Press the EJECT button, remove the cassette and wait until the DEW indication disappears. Video Head Clogging Consult qualified service personnel.

White balance adjustment Automatic white balance To human eyes, white subjects appear as white even under different lighting conditions. A Camcorder, however, would give these white subjects, depending on the color of the light source, a reddish or blush tint. To attain recordings with natural colors, it is necessary to adjust the sensor in the camera to the existing color of the light. This adjustment is called “White balance adjustment.
M Automatic recall of the previous white balance sifting # After sifting the Operation switch to “OFF"” and later to "CAMERA” again, the “WHITE” indication will flash slowly, however, the last previous white balance setting is still maintained. However, io ensure the best possible color reproduction, adjust the white balance again. Iris GAIN up function This function is effective when shooting a backbit scene. This function is used when shooting in the dark.
