PhotoFrame Upgrade Procedure

For SPF5x08

1． Purpose:

Solve Auto on Timer not exact issue. (Set on timer).

2． Scope:

SPF5x08 (include SPF5008, SPF5208, etc.)

3． Procedure:

a) Download compressed packet of upgrade file from Philips Website and

decompress it.

b) Copy the upgrade file (Philips_SPF5x08.bin; Philips_SPF5x08A.bin;

Philips_SPF5x08B.bin) to the root directory of SD Card.

c) Insert SD card and power on PhotoFrame.

d) PhotoFrame will detect the upgrade file and display the below screen.

e) Select <Yes> (default focus) and tap “OK” to perform the upgrade actions,

PhotoFrame will display the below screen. (Please be careful not to remove

the power until the process is completed!)

f) After about 1 minute, PhotoFrame will complete upgrade and auto reboot. g) After upgrade completed, PhotoFrame will automatically delete the corresponding upgrade file, so if need update multiple PhotoFrame, you can lock the SD card to keep the upgrade file. h) If upgrade fails found (as below picture displays), please re-copy the upgrade file (Philips_SPF5x08.bin, Philips_SPF5x08A.bin, Philips_SPF5x08B.bin) to the root of SD Card and try again.

i) You can double check the version of PhotoFrame after update. {Home Page} => tap “Menu” => {Quick Menu Page} => Select and tap “OK”.
