What’s in the box Note * In multi-handset packs, there are additional handsets, chargers and power adapters. ** In some countries, you have to connect the line adapter to the line cord, then plug the line cord to the telephone socket. 1 Get started Connect the base station and charger Power socket Telephone socket Power socket Power adapter Telephone base station Extra handset charger 1 Connect each end of the power adapter to: • the DC input jack at the bottom of the base station; • the power socket on the wall. 2 Connect each end of the line cord to: • the telephone socket at the bottom of the base station; • the telephone socket on the wall.
Configure your phone 1 The batteries are pre-installed in the handset. Pull the battery tape off from the battery door before charging. 2 When using your phone for the first time, you see a welcome message (country dependent). 3 Select your country, then press [OK] to confirm. 4 Set the date and time. • If the time is in 12-hour format, press * key to select [AM] or [PM].
Charge your phone Place the handset on the base station to charge the handset. When the handset is placed correctly on the base station, you hear a docking sound. »» The handset starts charging. Note Charge the batteries for 8 hours before first use. Charge 8 hours Check the battery level When the handset is off the base station/charger, the bars indicate the battery level (full, medium and low). When the handset is on the base station/charger, the bars flash until charging completes.
Charge your mobile phone Telephone base station 1 For iPhone users, connect the plug of your USB charging cable (not supplied) to the USB socket at the bottom of SE888. 2 For mobile phones with micro USB charging, connect the micro USB cable plug to the micro USB socket of the mobile phone.
2 Bluetooth Pair SE888 with your mobile phones Make sure the Bluetooth function of the mobile phones is activated and in searching status. Then you can do the pairing in this way: 1 On the base station, press MENU. 2 Select [Bluetooth] > [Find Me]. 3 Place the mobile phone close to the base station, then press [OK] to confirm. 4 On the mobile phone, select SE888 and connect. 5 Enter the PIN code (0000) on the mobile phone if necessary.
3 Enjoy Call Quick call from land line Press / on the handset or and dial the phone number. Dial before you call on the base station 1 Dial the phone number on the handset or base station. 2 Press / to select the land line or Bluetooth line ( / / ) from which you want to make an outgoing call. 3 Then, you can either: • press / on the handset; or • press or on the base station and select a line or mobile phone to dial out the call.
Answer a call • When there is an incoming call from the land line, press / on the handset or on the base station. • When there is an incoming call from the Bluetooth line, press / on the handset or on the base station. • When there are incoming calls from the land line and Bluetooth line at the same time, press / on the handset/base station to select a call, then, / ; or • on the handset, press • on the base station, press or to pick up one of the calls.
Record an announcement 1 Press [Menu] 2 Select > [Announcement], then press [OK] to confirm. 3 Select [Answer & rec.] or [Answer only], then press [OK] to confirm. 4 Select [Record new], then press [OK] to confirm. 5 Start recording close to the microphone after the beep. 6 Press [OK] to stop recording. »» You can listen to the newly recorded announcement on the handset.
Listen to messages recorded on the answering machine ab cd a b c d Switch on/off the answering machine: Press . Start/Stop listening to the recorded messages: Press Adjust the volume: Press / .
