Tanning with creams
- Ifyouhaveusedanarticialtanninglotion,waituntilthearticialtan
hasfullydisappearedbeforeyouusePhilipsLumeaPrecisionPlus.

Using the appliance
Checktherecommendedlightintensitiestableinchapter‘Preparingfor
use’,section‘Settingthelightintensity’todeterminewhichlightintensities
aremostsuitableforyourskinandbodyhaircolour.Usetheappliancein
awell-litroom;thisreducestheperceivedbrightnessoftheash.Shave
theareayouintendtotreatbeforeyouusetheappliance(seechapter
‘Preparingforuse’,section‘Preparingtreatmentareas’).
If the treatment becomes intolerably painful at any point in time, reduce
the light intensity setting until the treatment is comfortable again. If you
notice skin reactions stronger than slight redness, stop the treatment
immediately and read section ‘Possible side effects and skin reactions’ in
this chapter.
Choosing the right attachment
- Body attachment
Thebodyattachmentcanbeusedtotreatunwantedbodyhaironall
bodyareasbelowtheneck(forexceptions,seechapter‘Important’,section
‘Contraindications’).Thebodyattachmentcancoveranareaof4cm²and
hasbeenspeciallydesignedforfastertreatmentoflargerareaslikelegs.
Do not use the body attachment on the face.
- Precision attachment
Theprecisionattachmentincludesanadditionalintegratedlightlterand
canbeusedforextra-safetreatmentofunwantedfacialhairontheupper
lip,chinandsideburns.Itmayalsobeusedonothersensitiveareasofthe
body,suchastheunderarmsandbikiniareaorhard-to-reachareas.
Never use around the eyes and near the eyebrows.

1 Choose the attachment appropriate for the area you intend to treat.
2 Choose an area close to the area you intend to treat.
