Specifications
TP (Traffic Program) Mode will autoomatically switch to receive a Traffic Announcement
regardless dthe current operating mode &he unit. EON TA are stations that do noi have
M but can provde mfm-naiiori on other radio stations that do.
AF (Alternative Frequencies) Mode compares the signal level of the current station with
the signal level of other alternative frequenctes on the same radio network (see PTY
Mode). If the AF provides a stronger sIgnal than the current frequency, the radio will
1. Press the AFfFP button to engage TP Mode, and again to disengage TP Mode.
2. When TQ is blinking, TP Mode is on and there is no TP DATA to receive.
3. The SEEK or AS function will stop only at radio stations pr5vding TP or EON TA.
7. Press and hold the AFfW buEoon hr i second to engage AF Mode.
2. Press and hold AF/TP again for 1 second io disengage AF Mode.
!TY (Program Type) can search for radio statm~ vta MUSK MODE or SPEECH MODE networks.
Music Mode
categorizes
radio stations Into Pop, Rock, Modem Music, bght, Classics, and others.
Speech Mode categorizes music mto News, Affam, Info, Sports, Educatm, Drama, Culture,
and Science. REG (Regfon Mode) will switch the station to another that has the same PI
CQDE (station that provdes exactly the same program) but m a different REGION.

2. Press the PRESET button that corresponds to the mode type (refer to chart below)
1 Press and hold the PT’TY button for 1 second to turn on Region Mode.
2. Press and hold the PTY button agam for 1 second to turn off Regm Mode.
NQTE: The LCD will display “REC” when AF and REC modes are on.
