3 Get started 1 2 Caution Strap the car pouches over your car seat headrest. Insert the DVD player and the two screens into the pouches. • Use the controls only as stated in this user manual. Connect audio/video cables Connect power Note • Match the color of the AV cable with the jacks: the yellow cable is for the yellow video jack, the red/white cable is for the red/white audio jacks. 1 Connect AV cable to the main unit and to the screen. • To connect power from inside a car: Connect the car adaptor cable to the DC IN jack of the main unit and to the car cigarette lighter socket. Never mix different brands or types of batteries. Car Cigarette Lighter Socket • Risk of product damage! When the remote control is not used for long periods, remove the batteries.
Connect headphones Caution • Philips guarantees compliance with the maximum sound power of its audio players as determined by relevant regulatory bodies only with the original model of provided headphones. Select audio mode When you play VCDs/CDs, you can select an audio mode. 1 Press AUDIO repeatedly until the audio mode is selected. Zoom For DVDs, VCDs and picture CDs, you can zoom in and out for video images or pictures. 1 2 Press ZOOM repeatedly to zoom in and out. When the video image or picture is enlarged, press to pan through it. Repeat a section You can repeat a specific section of audio/video within a title/chapter/track (repeat A-B).

‘No signal’ is displayed Ensure that the player is turned on. • Ensure that the AV cable is connected. • Distorted picture Clean the disc. With a clean, soft, lint-free • cloth, wipe the disc outwards from the center. Make sure that the video output format of • the disc is compatible with the TV. Change the video output format to match • your TV or program (see ‘Select video output format’ on page 45). The LCD is manufactured using high • precision technology.
