Switching on/off the system and
selecting functions
1 Press POWER to switch on.
➜ The power indicator lights up.
2 To select your function, adjust the source
selector to CD, TAPE or TUNER.
3 Press POWER to switch the system off.
➜ The power indicator lights off.
Adjusting volume and sound
Adjust the sound with the VOLUME and DBB
controls.
IMPORTANT!
– Adjust the volume to a moderate level
before you plug in the headphones.
Basic Functions/ Radio Reception
Radio reception
1 Push the Source selector to TUNER.
2 Adjust the Band selector to AM, FM or FM
ST. (stereo) to select your desired waveband.
➜ FM ST. indicator lights up when receiving
strong stereo broadcast in the FM ST. postion.
3 Tu r n TUNING to tune in a radio station.
4 To switch off the radio, press POWER.
Or, adjust the Source selector to TAPE or
CD.
Helpful hints:
To improve radio reception:
–For FM, extend and turn the telescopic antenna
for best reception. Reduce its length if the signal is
too strong.
–To tune to a weak FM station, adjust Band
selector to FM (mono).
–For AM, the set uses a built-in antenna. Direct
this antenna for best reception by turning the
whole set.
