Software Upgrade

Introduction:

Philips continuously tries to improve its products and it wants you to profit of that even after your

purchase.

Therefore it allows you to upgrade your products software by yourself.

This product has two firmware versions: 1.xx.xxxx and 2.xx.xxxx. Please check your device before

upgrade.

How do I check the current software version on my device?

1. In active mode, press the MENU button on the remote.

2. Press to select Information, press OK.

3. Press to highlight System and press OK. You will find the software version as FW version

x.xx.xxxx.

Once you get the firmware version, please follow the below instructions of corresponding firmware

version.

What should I prepare for software upgrade?

 An archive utility that supports the ZIP-format (e.g. WinZip for Windows).

 A USB Memory device with enough free space.

New software can be downloaded from the www.philips.com/support website.

Warning:

 You are not allowed to remove the USB memory device during the software upgrade procedure.

 If an error occurs during the upgrade you should retry the procedure or if you need further

assistance or in case of problems, please call your local Philips Consumer Care Center.

Upgrade Procedure

Upgrade your device from PC:

Make sure the supplied WADM software has been installed on your computer before the software

update. If you have not installed this software yet, please get it from the current webpage, go to the

Software & drivers section and click the Download button next to Device/Firmware Manager.

1. Click the Download button to download the latest device software on your computer.

2. Unzip the downloaded file to get the software file.

Note: DO NOT rename this file to avoid software upgrade failure.

3. Switch on the Wireless Micro System and then connect it to your home network.

4. Run the WADM software on your computer and establish connection with your device.

5. On the WADM screen, select Device Configuration.

6. In the Device Configuration screen, select Firmware upgrade and click OK.

7. Click Browse to select the unzipped software file on your computer.

8. Click OK to start the upgrade.

9. When the software upgrade is completed, you will see a pop-up message saying “Firmware upgrade

success” and the device will restart itself.

Upgrade your device from internet: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Press HOME. Press to select [Internet Radio]. Get the automated prompt “A new software version is available. Do you agree to download?” Note: If you can’t get the prompt in step 2, go to MENU SETTINGS/INTERNET RADIO MGT./Upgrade Firmware. The prompt will be found after selected Upgrade Firmware. Select Yes. Your device will upgrade automatically.
