5. Set Up Connecting AC Power Cord Connecting AC Power cord This projector uses nominal input voltages of 100-120 V or 200-240 V AC. This projector automatically selects the correct input voltage. It is designed to work with single-phase power systems having a grounded neutral conductor. To reduce risk of electrical shock, do not plug into any other type of power system. Consult your authorized dealer or service station if you are not sure of the type of power supply being in use.
5. Set Up Positioning the Projector Positioning the Projector – This projector is designed to project on a flat projection surface. – The projector can be focused from 4.1’ (1.2m) ~ 32.8’ (10.0m). – Refer to the figure below to adjust the screen size. Note: The brightness of a room has a great influence on image quality. Adjustable Feet Moving the projector 5. Set Up Adjustable Feet Picture tilt and projection angle can be adjusted by rotating the Adjustable Feet. Projection angle can be adjusted up to approximately 10 degrees. 1 Lift the front of the projector and pull the Feet Lock Latches on both sides of the projector. 2 Release the Feet Lock Latches to lock the Adjustable Feet and rotate the feet to fine-tune position and tilt.

7. Operation Remote Control Operation Remote Control Operation Basic operation and preparation of the remote control are provided in the ProntoNEO RU 930 User Guide. Read the manual thoroughly for proper operation. Make sure to install the batteries into the remote control before use. Operation 1. Press the Device Button to show the Device Overview screen. 2. Tap Proj. PXG 30 to go into the Projector Menu. 3. Main Menu (1st page) will be displayed.

7. Operation Turning On / Off the Projector Turning On / Off the Projector Turning On the Projector 1 Complete peripheral connections (with a computer, VCR, etc.) before turning on the projector. (Refer to "Installation" on page 15~16) 2 Connect the projector's AC power cord into an AC outlet. The Power Indicator lights red(dim), and the Standby Indicator lights green. Note : When “On start” function is ON, this projector is turned on automatically when connecting the AC power cord to an AC outlet.
7. Operation Adjusting the Screen Adjusting the Screen Zoom Adjustment – Top Control Press Lens button and select Zoom function. Press Cursor Up/Down to adjust the image – Remote Control Press zoom – / + button to adjust the image. The message disappears after 4 seconds. Focus Adjustment – Top Control Press Lens button and select Focus function. Press Cursor Up/Down to adjust the focus of the image. – Remote Control Press focus – / + button to adjust the focus of the image.
Adjusting the Screen Sound Adjustment 7. Operation Picture Freeze Function Press D-freeze button on the remote control to capture a moving picture. To cancel, press D-freeze button once again or press any other button. A/V Mute Function Press AV Mute button on the top control or the remote control to black out the image and to mute the sound . To restore to normal, press AV Mute button again or press any other button. Message disappears after 4 seconds.
8. Computer Input Selecting Input Source Selecting Input Source Direct Operation Select an Input source by any of the followings: – Press Data button on the top control or CH+ button on the remote control.The button toggles among Data1, Data2 and Data3. – Press D1, D2 or D3 button on the remote control. If the projector cannot project properly, select a correct input source following the Menu Operation as shown below.
8. Computer Input Selecting Computer System Selecting Computer System This projector accepts various kinds of computer signals including VGA, SVGA, XGA and SXGA. By selecting a Data input as a signal source, it automatically detects the signal format and tune itself to project a proper image without any additional settings. (Signal formats provided in this projector is shown on Page 49.) Note : The projector may display one of the following messages.
8. Computer Input PC Adjustment PC Adjustment Auto Image Adjustment Auto Image Adjustment function is provided to automatically conform Fine sync, Total dots and Picture Position to your computer. This function can be operated as follows. Auto Image 1 Press Menu button to display the On-Screen Menu. Press Cursor Left/Right button to select PC Adjust Menu icon. 2 Press Cursor Down button to select Auto Image icon and then press OK button twice.
8. Computer Input PC Adjustment Manual PC Adjustment This projector can automatically tune the display signals from the most of personal computers currently distributed. However, some computers employ the special signal formats which may not be tuned by SmartSet of this projector. In this case, the image may be recognized as a flickering picture, a non-synchronized picture, a non-centered picture or a skewed picture, and projected improperly.
8. Computer Input PC Adjustment Display area Selects the area displayed by this projector. Select the resolution at Display area dialog box. Press OK button at Display area icon and Display area dialog box appears. Display area H Adjusts the horizontal area displayed by this projector. Press Cursor Left/Right button(s) to decrease/increase value and then press OK button. Display area Display area V Adjusts the vertical area displayed by this projector.

Adjust each level by pressing Cursor Left/Right button(s). IMAGE ADJUST MENU Select an item and then press OK button.

Press Cursor Left/Right button(s) to select Screen Menu icon. 2 Press Cursor Down button to select the function and then press OK button. 9. Video Input Selecting Input Source Selecting Input Source Direct Operation Select Input source by any of the followings: – Press Video button on the top control. Press CH– button on the remote control. (The button toggles among Auto, Video, S-video and Y,Pb/Cb,Pr/Cr. ) – Press video, S-video or Y, Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr button on the remote control. If the projector cannot project properly, select correct input source through Menu Operation (see below).
9. Video Input Selecting Video System Selecting Video System 1 Press Menu button to display the On-Screen Menu. Press Cursor Left/Right buttons to select AV System Menu icon. 2 Press Cursor Down button to select the system to be required and then press OK button. Video or S-video – Auto The projector automatically detects incoming Video system, and adjusts itself to optimize its performance. When Video System is PAL-M or PAL-N, select system manually. – PAL / SECAM / NTSC / NTSC4.

Select from the Image Level 1 to 4 and then press OK button. Image Level Menu Select any of Image icon to be set and then press OK button. Reset Reset all adjustment to previous figure. Quit Store icon Press OK button at this icon to store the value. Closes Image Menu.

Press Cursor Left/Right button(s) to select Setting icon. 2 Press Cursor Down button to select the item that you want to set and then press OK button. Setting dialog box appears. SETTING MENU Select the item and press OK button.
10. Other Settings Setting Menu Power management Power Management is a SmartSave function for reducing power consumption as well as maintaining the Lamp-life. When the input signal is interrupted and any button is not pressed over 5 minutes, the Projection Lamp will be automatically turned off. (This function is set "On" by default.) This function operates as follows; 1. When any input signal is interrupted, the message“No signal”is displayed and the counting down display appears (for 5 minutes). 2.

Operating the Wireless Mouse Installation Operating the Wireless Mouse Operating the Wireless Mouse The remote control is able to not only operate this projector but also function as a wireless mouse for most Personal Computers. Left button, Right button and Cursor buttons in the mouse menu are used for wireless mouse operation. This Wireless Mouse function is available only when PC mouse pointer is displayed on a projected screen.

Maintenance Temperature Warning Indicator Temperature Warning Indicator Standby Indicator Top Control Temperature Warning Indicator The Temperature Warning Indicator flashes red and the projector will automatically shut down when the internal temperature of the projector exceeds normal level. At this time, the Standby Indicator lights off and the Temperature Warning Indicator continues flashing.
Air-filter Care and Cleaning Cleaning the Projection Lends 12. Maintenance Air-filter Care and Cleaning The Air Filters prevent dust from accumulating on the surface of the Projection Lens and the Projection Mirror. Should Air Filters become clogged with dust particles, it will reduce Cooling Fans’ effectiveness and may result in internal heat build up and adversely affect the life of the projector.
12. Maintenance Lamp Replacement Lamp Replacement When the life of the Projection Lamp of this projector draws to an end, the Lamp Indicator lights yellow. If this indicator lights yellow, replace the projection lamp with a new one promptly. Top Control CAUTION For continued safety, replace with a lamp assembly of the same type. Do not drop the lamp assembly or touch the glass bulb! The glass can shatter and may cause injury.
12. Maintenance Lamp Replacement Lamp Replace Counter Reset Be sure to reset the Lamp Replace Counter after the Lamp Assembly is replaced. When the Lamp Replace Counter is reset, the Lamp Indicator will light off. 1 2 3 Turn the projector on, press Menu button to display the OnScreen Menu. Press Cursor Left/Right button(s) to select Setting Menu icon (refer to page 36, 37). Total time of lamp use. Press the Cursor Down button to select Lamp counter reset and then press the OK button.

Appendix Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Before calling your dealer or service center for assistance, check the matters below once again. – Make sure you have properly connected the projector to peripheral equipment as described in the section "Installation" on page15 and 16. – Make sure all equipment is connected to AC outlet and turned on the power. – When you operate the projector with a computer, and it does not project an image, restart the computer. Problem: No power. Image is out of focus.
13. Appendix Problem: The Remote Control does not work. Wireless Mouse function does not work. Troubleshooting – Try these Solutions – Check the batteries. – Make sure no obstruction is between the projector and the remote control. – Make sure you are not too far from the projector when using remote control. Maximum operating range is 16.4’ (5m). – Make sure the code of the remote control is conformed to the projector. (See “Other Settings” section on page 36, 37.
