Introduction
The upgrade version of this software can be used to upgrade the Philips HTS3300 Home Theater
Systems to the latest status. The upgrade offers Cyrillic external DivX subtitle support.
Very Important! Please check your product version before you upgrade.
It is important to write down the system version information of your set before you start the upgrade
procedure. This information is also useful in case you need to call Philips Customer Care Center.
1. Power up the set and select DISC source.
2. Open tray by pressing the OPEN/CLOSE button on the set, or by pressing and holding the
STOP button on the Remote Control.
3. Press DISPLAY button on the Remote Controller.
The TV screen will show either:
a) LX1S-V** XXXX
- V** (software version number)
- XXXX (Model number eg. 3300, 3500)
Or,
b) 3300MK2 – V**X-XXXXXXXX
- V** (software version number)
- XXXX (Model number eg. 3300)
Note: If you are unable to view this info on the TV screen for some reason, you can
alternatively check the serial number at the bottom of the set (see location in picture on
pg.4).
a) For sets with:
I. Software (LX1S-V** XXXX), or
II. Serial Numbers:
VN1X-XXXX-XXXX, and
NW00-XXXX-XXXXXX,
Please use this software for upgrading:
b) For sets with:
I. Software (3300MK2 – V**X-
XXXXXXXX), or
II. Serial Numbers:
VN2X-XXXX-XXXX, and
NW1A-XXXX-XXXXXX,
Please use this instead:

HTS3000E_V23.zip is for CP1254 and CP1250
Western_Central_Europe contains external DivX
fonts support for Western (Default) and Central
Europe (selectable via SETUP menu) character
support.
Western support for external DivX subtitle
Albanian, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French,
Gaelic, German, Italian, Kurdish (Latin), Norwegian,
Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
Central European support for external DivX
subtitle
Albanian, Croat, Czech, Dutch, English, German,
Hungarian, Irish, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, Slovene and
Sorbian.
V26.zip: This is for CP1254 and CP1250
Western_Central_Europe contains external DivX
