Software Upgrade

9. If the software version is later than the version on your product, click the software update.
10. Accept the license agreement, and save the ZIP file to the USB storage device.
11. Using the archive utility, extract 'HTS2XXXMTK.bin' , HTS2XXXMCU.bin and
„HTS2XXXMCU.bin to the root directory of the USB storage device.
12. Disconnect the USB storage device from the PC.
Step 3: Update the software using USB
During the software update, do not switch off the home theater or remove the USB storage device.
Do not press any buttons or interrupt the mains supply during the upgrading process, otherwise the HTS may become defective.
1. Connect the USB storage device to your home theater.
2. Switch on your home theater and TV, and switch your TV to the correct source for your home
theater.
3. Press USB on the home theater remote control.
4. A dialogue will now appear - follow the instructions to update the software of your HTS.
5. During upgrading, the red LED of the standby button will blink;
6. After the upgrading is completed, the set will go into standby mode automatically. Then you
may remove the USB flash storage device.
7. When the update is finished, the home theater automatically switches to standby. If it does
not, disconnect the power cord for a few seconds and then reconnect it.
8. If you see the message [No valid upgrade software found!], check that:
- The software is meant for your home theater.
- The 2 bin files are in the root directory of the USB storage device and the name is not
changed.
9. When the HTS displays “No USB” on screen, please try with another USB device which can be
detected by the HTS.
10. If the update fails, try again. If it fails again, contact Philips Consumer Care.
11. Disconnect the USB storage device and switch on the home theater.
