hot curling chamber should never

• Only use the appliance on dry hair. Do
not operate the appliance with wet

• The barrel has ceramic titanium
coating. This coating might slowly wear
away over time. However, this does
not affect the performance of the
appliance.
• If the appliance is used on color-
treated hair, the barrel may be stained.
Before using it on articial hair, always
consult their distributor.
• Always return the appliance to a
service centre authorized by Philips
for examination or repair. Repair by
unqualied people could result in an
extremely hazardous situation for the
user.
• Do not insert metal objects into any
openings to avoid electric shock.
• Do not pull on the power cord after
using. Always unplug the appliance by

How to use:
1 Connect the plug to a power supply socket.
2 Press the power on/off button ( g ) to turn on the appliance.
» The heating up time is indicated by the blinking power-on
indicator ( f ). The appliance is ready for use when the indicator
stays stable.
3 Select your desired curling time ( d ) and temperature setting
( e ) according to Fig. 1 below.

4 Choose your desired curling direction ( c ) according to Fig. 2.

5 To easily insert the strand of hair into the curling chamber, rst insert
part of the hair into the opening at the back of the appliance. Use
the contours of the opening to guide the section of hair into the
chamber.
6 Let the appliance hold the strand of hair in place. Press and hold the
curling button ( b ), and the strand of hair will be automatically
curled into the chamber.
» When the hair has been successfully curled into the chamber, you
will hear one beep at regular intervals. If you do not hear any beeps
and the hair is still not curled into the chamber, remove the strand of
hair and try inserting it again.
7 When you hear four continuous beeps followed by a click, you can
remove your nger from the curling button. Slowly and gently release
your hair from the chamber.
8 Repeat steps 5-7 to style the rest of your hair.
4 Tips and Tricks
• Comb hair thoroughly ensure there are no tangles before curling
• Separate hair into sections. Keep all unused hair away from the
opening of the curling chamber
• To prevent tangles, use an amount of hair which ts within the
opening of the hair sectioning accessory
• Start curling from the back of the head
• ( Fig. 4 ) Make sure that no stray or loose strands are near the
opening of the curling chamber
• Twist the hair once to make it easier to put it into the opening of the
curling chamber
• Use the contours of the opening to guide hair into the chamber
• Place the opening against the hair where you want the curls to start.
Do not place it too close to the scalp
• Hold the strands of hair taut when inserting them into the opening
of the curling chamber
• The heating time is indicated by the blinking of the power-on
indicator. The appliance is ready for use when the indicator
stays stable
• Use a smaller amount of hair for longer hair lengths and/or to get
more dened curls
• To achieve different types of curls and looks, change the temperature
settings, time settings and/or the rotation direction. (Fig. 1 & Fig. 2)
Remarks:
• Press and hold the curling button until you hear the continuous
beeps followed by a click. If you remove your ngers from the curling
button before the nal sound indications, DO NOT press it again.
Remove the hair and start over.
• The appliance intelligently identies when hair is severely stuck and
alerts you with continuous beeps followed by a click. To protect your
hair from heat damage, the appliance will automatically turn off.
• If hair becomes trapped, check that the appliance is turned off and
gently remove the trapped hair by pulling out thin strands, section by
section, until all the hair has been freed.
5 After Use
1 Switch off the appliance and unplug it.
2 Place it on a heat-resistant surface until the curling chamber
cools down.
3 Keep it in a safe, dry place which is free of dust. You can also hang it
with the hanging loop ( h ).
Cleaning and Maintenance:
• Clean the surface of the appliance with a damp cloth.
• ( Fig. 5 ) Insert the barrel cleaning accessory ( j ) into the curling
chamber. Turn it continuously to remove residues.
• To clean the cleaning accessory, wash it under running water and
leave it to dry completely before using it again.

3 Encaracolar o seu cabelo
Como usar:
1 Ligue a cha a uma tomada de corrente eléctrica.
2 Prima o botão ligar/desligar ( g ) para ligar o aparelho.
» O tempo de aquecimento é indicado pelo indicador de alimentação
intermitente ( f ). O aparelho está pronto a usar quando o
indicador permanece continuamente aceso.
3 Seleccione o tempo de encaracolamento pretendido ( d ) e a
regulação da temperatura ( e ) que pretende de acordo com
a Fig. 1.

4 Seleccione a direcção de encaracolamento ( c ) que preferir de
acordo com a Fig. 2.

5 Para colocar facilmente a madeixa de cabelo na câmara de
encaracolar, primeiro insira o cabelo na abertura na parte posterior
do aparelho. Utilize os contornos na abertura para guiar a madeixa
de cabelo para a câmara.
6 Deixe o aparelho manter a madeixa de cabelo na posição correcta.
MANTENHA o botão de encaracolamento ( b ) PREMIDO e a
madeixa será enrolada automaticamente para dentro da câmara.
» Quando o cabelo estiver correctamente inserido na câmara, ouvirá
um sinal sonoro a intervalos regulares. Se não ouvir sinais sonoros e
o cabelo continuar a não estar inserido na câmara, retire a madeixa
de cabelo e tente inseri-la novamente.
7 Se ouvir um alerta contínuo de 4 SINAIS SONOROS, seguido
por um ESTALIDO, pode remover o dedo do botão de
encaracolamento. Solte o seu cabelo da câmara de forma lenta
e suave.
8 Repita os passos 5 a 7 para modelar o resto do cabelo.
4 Dicas e sugestões
• Penteie o cabelo cuidadosamente e assegure-se de que não tem
cabelo emaranhado antes de encaracolar
• Separe o cabelo em madeixas. Mantenha todo o cabelo que não
está a modelar afastado da abertura da câmara de encaracolamento
• Para evitar emaranhamentos, utilize uma quantidade de cabelo que
caiba na abertura do acessório para separar madeixas
• Comece a encaracolar a partir da parte de trás do cabelo
• ( Fig. 4 ) Assegure-se de que não tem madeixas despenteadas nem
soltas próximas da abertura da câmara de encaracolamento
• Torça o cabelo uma vez para ser mais fácil colocá-lo na abertura da
câmara de encaracolamento
• Utilize os contornos da abertura para guiar o cabelo para dentro
da câmara
• Coloque a abertura encostada ao comprimento do cabelo onde
pretende que os caracóis comecem. Não a aproxime demasiado do
couro cabeludo
• Segure a madeixa esticada ao colocá-la na abertura da câmara de
encaracolamento
• O tempo de aquecimento é indicado pelo indicador de alimentação
intermitente. O aparelho está pronto a usar quando o indicador
permanece continuamente aceso
• Utilize uma quantidade menor de cabelo nas madeixas para cabelos
mais compridos e/ou para caracóis mais denidos
• Para obter diferentes tipos de caracóis e penteados, altere as
regulações da temperatura, as regulações do tempo e/ou a direcção
de rotação. (Fig. 1 e Fig. 2)
Observações:
• MANTENHA o botão de encaracolamento PREMIDO até ouvir
um AVISO SONORO contínuo seguido por um ESTALIDO. Se
retirar os dedos do botão de encaracolamento antes das indicações
sonoras nais, NÃO volte a premi-lo. Retire o cabelo e recomece.
• O aparelho identica de forma inteligente quando o cabelo está
extremamente preso e alerta-o com SINAIS SONOROS contínuos
seguidos por um ESTALIDO. Para proteger o seu cabelo contra
danos devido ao calor, o aparelho será desligado automaticamente.
• Se o cabelo car preso, não entre em pânico. Verique se o aparelho
está desligado e retire delicadamente o cabelo preso puxando
pequenas madeixas nas de cabelo até soltar todo o cabelo.
5 Após a utilização
1 Desligue o aparelho e retire a cha da corrente.
2 Coloque-o numa superfície resistente ao calor até a câmara de
encaracolamento arrefecer.
3 Guarde-o num local seguro e seco, sem pó. Também pode pendurá-
lo pela argola de suspensão ( h ).
Limpeza e manutenção:
• Limpe a superfície do aparelho com um pano húmido.
• (Fig. 5) Insira o acessório de limpeza do modelador ( j ) na câmara
de encaracolamento. Rode-o continuamente para eliminar resíduos.
• Para limpar o acessório de limpeza, lave-o em água corrente e
deixe-o secar completamente antes de voltar a utilizá-lo.

Cara penggunaan:
1 Sambungkan plag kepada soket bekalan kuasa.
2 Tekan butang kuasa hidup/mati ( g )untuk menghidupkan
perkakas.
» Masa pemanasan ditunjukkan dengan kuasa berkelip pada penunjuk (
f ). Perkakas sedia digunakan apabila penunjuk stabil.
3 Pilih masa pengeriting ( d ) dan tetapan suhu ( e ) yang anda
mahu berdasarkan Rajah 1.

4 Pilih arah pengeriting ( c ) yang anda mahu mengikut Rajah 2.

5 Untuk memasukkan helaian rambut ke dalam ruang pengeriting
dengan mudah, masukkan sebahagian daripada rambut dahulu ke
dalam bukaan di bahagian belakang perkakas. Gunakan kontur bukaan
untuk memandu bahagian rambut tersebut ke dalam ruang.
6 Biarkan perkakas memegang helaian rambut pada kedudukannya.
TEKAN dan TAHAN butang pengeriting ( b ) dan helaian
rambut akan dikeritingkan secara automatik ke dalam ruang.
» Apabila rambut berjaya dimasukkan ke dalam ruang, anda akan
mendengar bip sekali pada selang sekata. Jika anda tidak mendengar
sebarang bip dan rambut masih tidak dikeritingkan ke dalam ruang,
keluarkan helaian rambut dan cuba masukkan lagi.
7 Apabila anda mendengar 4 isyarat ‘BIP’ diikuti dengan ‘Klik’, anda
boleh mengalihkan jari anda pada butang pengeriting. Lepaskan
rambut anda dari ruang dengan perlahan dan lembut.
8 Ulangi langkah 5-7 untuk menggayakan rambut selebihnya.

• Sikat rambut anda dengan teliti dan pastikan tiada kekusutan
sebelum mengeriting

perlu dari bukaan ruang pengeriting
• Untuk mengelakkan kekusutan, gunakan jumlah rambut yang boleh
dimasukkan di dalam bukaan aksesori pembahagian rambut
• Mula mengeriting dari belakang rambut
• ( Rajah 4 ) Pastikan bahawa tiada helaian yang terlepas berdekatan
dengan bukaan ruang pengeriting
• Putarkan rambut sekali untuk memudahkannya masuk ke dalam
bukaan ruang pengeriting
• Gunakan kontur bukaan untuk memandu rambut tersebut ke
dalam ruang
• Letakkan bukaan bertentangan dengan panjang rambut bagi
permulaan keriting. Jangan letakkan terlalu rapat dengan kulit kepala
• Genggam helaian rambut dengan ketat semasa meletakkannya di
antara bukaan ruang pengeriting
• Masa pemanasan ditunjukkan dengan kuasa berkelip pada penunjuk.
Perkakas sedia digunakan apabila penunjuk stabil
• Gunakan jumlah rambut yang kurang sedikit untuk panjang rambut
yang lebih panjang dan/atau untuk mendapatkan keriting yang
lebih jelas
• Untuk mencapai jenis dan rupa keriting yang berbeza, ubah tetapan
suhu, tetapan masa dan/atau arah putaran. (Rajah 1 & Rajah 2)
Perhatian:
• TEKAN dan TAHAN butang pengeriting sehingga anda mendengar
‘BIP’ berterusan diikuti dengan ‘KLIK’. Jika anda menjauhkan jari anda
daripada butang pengeriting sebelum penunjuk bunyi akhir, JANGAN
tekan lagi. Keluarkan rambut dan cuba sekali lagi.
• Perkakas secara pintarnya mengenal pasti apabila rambut sangat
tersekat dan memaklumkan anda dengan ‘BIP’ berterusan diikuti
dengan ‘KLIK’. Untuk melindungi rambut anda daripada kerosakan
haba, perkakas akan dimatikan secara automatik.
• Jangan cemas jika rambut tersekat. Pastikan bahawa perkakas
dimatikan dan tanggalkan rambut yang tersekat secara lembut
dengan menarik bahagian helaian nipis mengikut bahagian sehingga
semua rambut bebas.
5 Selepas penggunaan
1 Matikan perkakas dan cabut plagnya.
2 Letakkannya di atas permukaan yang tahan panas sehingga ruang
pengeriting menyejuk.
3 Simpan di tempat yang selamat dan kering, bebas daripada habuk.
Anda juga boleh menggantungnya dengan gelung penggantung ( h ).
Pembersihan dan Penyelenggaraan:
• Bersihkan permukaan perkakas dengan kain yang lembap.
• (Rajah 5) Masukkan aksesori pembersihan cerompong ( j ) ke
dalam ruang pengeriting. Pusingkannya secara berterusan untuk
mengeluarkan sisa.
• Untuk membersihkan aksesori pembersihan, basuh di bawah air
yang mengalir dan biarkannya kering dengan sepenuhnya sebelum
menggunakannya semula.
