2.4 Connecting to a home telephone system

Connect the fax machine as the first device to the line and the home telephone
system (HTS) as the second.

In order to operate your fax machine on a home telephone system,
change to EXT. mode with function 31. The corresponding pointer
on the display will light up.

generally valid operating rules. Refer to the operating instructions provided by the manufacturer.

Connect the fax machine to an extension line of the private branch exchange
(PABX). In order to operate your fax machine on an extension, you need to
enter the appropriate settings in function 14.
