Firmware Upgrade

We have developed a firmware upgrade to improve your product.

This upgrade is applicable for the following models:

HDR3700/05

Note: Before you proceed to upgrade, please be reminded that you need to do configuration again

each time after firmware upgrade!

Upgrade Procedure

Check your current version

First check your current firmware version to see if you need to upgrade:

1. The recorder is in On state. Eject the disc tray and ensure there is no disc

present . Close the disc tray.

Then proceed to press <Skip>, <1>, <2>, <3> on the remote control

Note: In case the firmware version does not appear on the screen, eject and

close the disc tray to reset, and repeat step 2.

2. The software version will be displayed on the TV screen as shown in the example below.

3. Compare your recorder firmware BE, FE and DVB-T version shown on screen with this version,

DVB-T Version: U.78

FE Version: R50_015_000

BE Version: HD5P24683Z2B

4. If your existing firmware BE, FE and DVB-T version is lower than the above versions (highlighted in BLUE),

please proceed to Step 2 (Download Firmware Upgrade) below.

Otherwise, you do not need to upgrade.

Note: Press the <BACK> button to exit the version information screen.

Pressing the <OK> button will RESET the DVD Recorder to its factory settings.

The package is compressed into a single ZIP archive: HDR3700_05_V3.0.zip Step 3 Burning the firmware on CD-R / CD-RW Note: You will need one blank CD-R or CD-RW disc for this step. 1. 2. 3. Extract the files by unzipping the zipped file (HDR3700_05_V3.0.zip) with WINZIP or other applications capable of handling zipped files (do not rename the extracted files).

Philips Consumer Lifestyle Step 4 Upgrading the firmware of your recorder Note: Do not press any buttons or interrupt the mains supply during the upgrading process, otherwise the recorder may become defective. Important: You will need to perform the upgrade by following closely the 3 steps below: DVB-T firmware (1st Step) 1. Power up the recorder. 2. Press remote control button: , <6>, <5>, <4> 3. Insert upgrade CDR and close the disc tray. 4. Select DVBT_VerU78 and press OK 5. Upgrade starts.
