Push the lever downwards to select the “ESPRESSO” function.
In this position, you can brew an espresso by pressing the “
” button
or a long espresso by pressing the “
” button.
Note:
If an espresso or a long espresso is selected with the lever in the wrong
position these icons will be displayed, reminding you to set the lever to the
correct position within 30 seconds to complete brewing.
If the level is not rotated to the correct position within the speci ed time,
the machine will not brew the selected co ee.

Push the lever upwards to select the “COFFEE” function.
In this position, you can brew a classic co ee by pressing the “ ” but-
ton.
Note:
If a classic co ee is selected with the lever in the wrong position these
icons will be displayed, reminding you to set the lever to the correct posi-
tion within 30 seconds to complete brewing.
If the level is not rotated to the correct position within the speci ed time,
the machine will not brew the selected co ee.
