Flushing the appliance
1 Openthelid(Fig.3).
2 Fillthewatertankwithcoldfreshwaterandputthejuginplace(Fig.4).
Do not put a lter and ground coffee in the lter holder.
3 Presstheon/offswitchtoswitchontheappliance.(Fig.5)
Thepower-onlightgoeson(HD7448only).
Let the appliance run until the water tank is empty.
4 Switchofftheappliancewhenallthewaterisinthejug.
5 Lettheappliancecooldownforatleast3minutesbeforeyoustarttobrewcoffee.

1 Openthelid(Fig.3).
2 Fillthewatertankwithfreshcoldwater(Fig.6).
The graduations on the left are for large cups (120ml).
The graduations on the right are for small cups (80ml).
3 Closethelid.
4 Placethejugonthehotplate.
Makesureyouplacethejugproperlyonthehotplate.
Note: If you do not place the jug properly on the hotplate, the drip stop prevents the coffee from owing
into the jug and the lter. As a result, the lter may overow.
5 Openthelterholder(Fig.7).
6 Takeapaperlter(type1x4orno.4)andfoldthesealededgestopreventtearingand
folding.
In some countries, this coffee maker comes with a permanent lter. In that case, do not use paper
lters.
7 Putthelterinthelterholder.
8 Putpre-groundcoffee(lter-negrind)inthelter(Fig.8).
For large cups: use one heaped measuring spoon of ground coffee for each cup.
For small cups: use one level measuring spoon of ground coffee for each cup.
9 Closethelid.
10 Presstheon/offbuttontoswitchontheappliance(Fig.5).

11 Whenallthewaterhaspassedthroughthelter,youcanremovethejugfromtheappliance.
12 Switchofftheapplianceafteruse.
13 Lettheappliancecooldownforatleast3minutesbeforeyoustarttobrewcoffeeagain.
14 Removethelterholderandthrowawaythepaperlter.
If you have used the permanent lter, empty and rinse it.
