How to optimise the lifetime of the batteries
- Do not use the appliance when its batteries are almost empty. Recharge the appliance before you
use it again. Completely draining the batteries is harmful to the batteries and reduces their life.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains if you are not going to use it for a month
or longer.
- Always recharge the appliance after a long period of disuse.
- If you do not use the appliance daily, unplug it after charging.
- If you cannot recharge the batteries anymore, take the appliance to your dealer or a Philips
service centre to have them replaced.
Using the appliance
Note: Always make sure the dust bucket is correctly inserted into the appliance to prevent damage to
the appliance.

Cleaning
Alwaysremovetheadapterfromthewallsocketbeforeyoucleanthechargingbase.
1 Cleantheoutsideoftheapplianceandtheoutsideofthechargingbasewithadampcloth.
2 Ifyouwanttoemptyandcleanthedustbucketandcleanthelters,followtheinstructions
insections‘Emptyingandcleaningthedustbucket’and‘Cleaningthelters’below.
Emptying and cleaning the dust bucket
Make sure you empty and clean the dust bucket regularly.
Note: Empty the dust bucket when you notice a decrease in suction power or when the dust in the
bucket reaches the ‘Max’ indication (Fig. 7).
