Firmware Upgrade

Introduction

The Firmware Upgrade will upgrade DVP5505S/69, DVP5505S/78 and DVP5505S/93 firmware to Version 25.

The software release version 25 has provided a solution to fix:

•

SACD problem with playback stopping between tracks

Playback a SACD disc and set the repeat mode to "single repeat", then press "fast forward key", the time

display in OSD is unequal to real track time (for example, we play one track, its time is 3 minutes 32

seconds. In single repeat mode, we press fast forward key, the time display in OSD is 3 minutes 56 seconds).

This issue only happens in repeat mode.

Upgrade Procedure

Check your current firmware version

1. POWER ON the set.

2. Press SYSTEM MENU key to enter SETUP menu

3. Press < or > to navigate to GENERAL menu

4. Press keys 1,3,7,9 successively. Version table will be displayed on screen.

Download Firmware upgrade

1 Check you have the following tools:

• PC (Pentium III 300MHz processor or higher)

• CD-R/RW writer and writing application software

• Blank CD-R or CD-RW disc

• Internet access (broadband or high speed)

2 Click the link to download Firmware Upgrade to your PC

3 Unzip the .zip file

i) Do not rename the filename.

ii) Visit http://www.winzip.com/ for downloads if you cannot open the .zip file.

Step 4 Apply Upgrade to your Set 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Power on the set Put in the disc A message will be displayed on the OSD after the upgrade file is recognized Follow the instruction displayed on the TV Screen – Press “OK” to upgrade After reading the file, the disc will be ejected Remove the disc, but DO NOT close the tray Wait approximately 3-5 minutes for the software to be upgraded The set will restart itself once the upgrade is completed.
