Also known as IEEE 1394 and FireWire. i.LINK is
the worldwide standard for connecting digital video
devices, used on digital home video equipment
such as DV and D8 camcorders, as well as PCs.
Conveniently, it carries all audio and video signals via
a single cable.
With i.LINK Digital Video input you cam copy your
home videos in their original digital picture quality.
8 hours recording
The 8 -hour record mode available on speci c DVD
recorder models lets you record up to eight hours of
video on one single-sided DVD+RW/+R disc.
2-Channel Dolby Digital™ Recording
Dolby Digital™ is an advanced digital audio encoding
technology that is used on all DVD-Video discs. Philips
DVD Recorders store audio in the same format, so it
is fully compatible with any DVD player. The quality
surpasses that of analog video recorder.
Two-Way Compatibility
DVD Recorders can play regular DVD -Video discs,
but equally important is that DVD+R and DVD+RW
discs recorded on them can be played on existing
DVD-Video players.
MP3-CD Playback
MP3 stands for “MPEG 1 Audio layer-3”.
MP3 is a revolutionary compression technology by
which large digital music  les can be made up to
10 times smaller without radically degrading their
audio quality. MP3 has become the standard audio
compression format used on the world wide web,
allowing quick and easy audio  le transfer.
