Select basic settings
When you turn on this recorder for the fi rst
time, follow the instructions on the TV to
complete the initial setup for this recorder.
Note
Before you start, ensure that you have made all the
required connections.
If a Cable Box or Satellite Receiver is connected,
turn it on.
Complete the initial setup for this recorder before
you insert a disc to play.

1 Press STANDBY-ON 2 to turn on the
recorder.
2 Turn on the TV and switch it to the
correct video-in channel.
You may go to the lowest channel on
your TV, then press the Channel Down
button on your TVs remote control
until you see the menu language screen.
