Display panel symbols/messages (continued)

NOSIGNAL
No signal or poor signal strength.

NTSC DISC
A disc with NTSC recordings has been
inserted and an attempt was made to record a
PAL signal. Insert a new disc or use a disc
containing PAL recordings.

OPENING
Disc tray is opening.

PAL DISC
A disc with PAL recordings has been inserted
and an attempt was made to record an NTSC
signal. Insert a new disc or use a disc
containing NTSC recordings.

PHILIPS
The recorder has been turned on from
standby mode.

PHOTO
The disc inserted contains jpeg  les.

PROTECTED
Recorded title is protected and cannot be
deleted/overwritten.

READING
Disc is being recognised by the recorder.

SYS MENU
The on-screen menu display is on.

GUIDE (For UK only)
The TV Guide or Electronic Programme Guide
display is on.

USB
The contents menu of the connected USB
device is displayed.

UPDATING MENU
After a successful recording, the list of disc
contents is updated.

UPTODATE
The recorder software has been updated.

VCD
A VCD has been loaded into the recorder.
