Record TV Programmes
IMPORTANT!
Contents with copy protection cannot be
recorded on this recorder.
Record current TV
programme
Follow the instructions below to record
TV programmes to a DVD recordable
disc for future viewing.
A In live TV mode, press REC on the
remote control.
The current TV channel will be
recorded.
Press REC to set the recording time
length. Each subsequent press increases
the recording time by 30 minutes. (The
maximum recordable hours depends on
available disc space and the selected
record mode).
B To stop recording before the scheduled
time, press STOP
.
Helpful Hint:
– You can watch another TV programme by
using the TV remote control to select a
different channel. Remember to turn the TV
back to its video input channel if you want to
watch the TV channel through the recorder
or playback the recorded disc.
About timer recording
Use the timer recording to automatically
start and stop a recording at a later
date/time. This recorder will tune to the
correct programme channel and begin
recording at the speci ed time.
With this recorder, you can schedule up
to 30 recordings at a time. During
timer recording, it is not possible to
change the recorder’s channel.
There are several ways to program
a timer recording:
– Using the TV Guide (For UK only).
– Using the S
HOWVIEW
®
/ VIDEO Plus+
®
system.
– Using the manual timer recording.
About ‘VPS/PDC’
‘VPS’ (Video Programming System) or
‘PDC’ (Programme Delivery Control) is
used to control the start and duration of
TV channel recordings. If a TV
programme starts earlier or ends later
than was scheduled, this recorder will
then turn on and off at the correct time.
Note: ‘PDC’ (Programme Delivery
Control) is not available to users in the
UK. Any reference made to this feature is
not valid in the UK.
