Main Unit
a STANDBY-ON
– Turns the recorder on or to standby
mode.
b Disc tray
c OPEN/CLOSE ç
– Opens or closes the disc tray.
d Display panel
– Shows information about the current
status of the recorder.
e PLAY/PAUSE u
– Starts or pauses playback of any recorded
disc.

– Starts recording the currently viewed TV
programme. Press repeatedly to set the
recording length in 30 minute increments.
– Lights up while recording is in progress.

– Skips to the previous or next chapter/
track. Hold down the button to make a
reverse/forward search.

Flip down the door as indicated by the
OPEN  label at the right hand corner.
h CAM1
– Use VIDEO connector for VHS/Video8
camcorders/video recorders.
Alternatively,
– Use S-VIDEO connector for SVHS/Hi8
camcorders/video recorders.
– For audio connections, use L-AUDIO-R
sockets.
i CAM2 (DV IN)
– Connector for digital camcorders (also
known as FireWire or IEEE1394).
j USB
– Connector for USB  ash drive or digital
camera.
* Not all brands and models of digital cameras
are supported, except for those compliant
with the PTP standard.
