Problem (USB/HDMI) Solution
The contents of the USB
ash drive cannot be read.
Slow operation of the USB
ash drive.
No sound on HDMI
connection.
No picture on HDMI
connection.
– The USB ash drive format is not compatible with the
system.
– Drive is formatted with a different le system which is
not supported by this DVD recorder (e.g., NTFS).
– Large le size or high memory USB ash drive takes
longer time to read and display on the TV.
– You will not hear any sound from the HDMI output if
the source device is only DVI/HDCP-non compatible.
– It is not possible to output SACD or copy-controlled
DVD-Audio sources from the HDMI connection.
– When the HDMI on this recorder is used to connect to
a TV, there may be no surround sound on Coaxial/
Optical output, depending on the TV’s audio capabilities.
Press OPTIONS on the remote control, go to Audio
Output setting and set the HDMI to { Disable }.
– Make sure that you have activated this recorder as the
HDMI input in the settings for the device you are using.
Press OPTIONS on the remote control, go to Video
Output setting and set the { Active video output } to
{ HDMI out }.
– HDMI connection can only be made to HDMI-equipped
devices with HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Content
Protection). If you wish to connect to a DVI connector
(equipped with HDCP), you will need a separate
adaptor (DVI to HDMI).
– Make sure the resolution of this recorder matches the
device you have connected using the HDMI. See HDMI
setting.
– Check if the HDMI cable is faulty. Replace a new HDMI
cable.
– When connecting to a non-HDCP compliant TV, the
HDCP warning message will appear only on the
analogue video output.
– When the HDMI and component video are used to
connect to a TV at the same time, it can be no picture
output from the component video connection.
Disconnect the HDMI cable.
