4. Software Version Verification Procedure It is important to write down the system version information of your DVD-player before you start the upgrade procedure. This information is also useful in case you need to call Philips Customer Care Center. 1) Press and Hold the Record and Play button on the Front panel. 2) To exit the setup page, press and hold the Record and Play button on the Front Panel. __________________________________________________________________ 5.

6. Steps to upgrade DVDR3320V 1. Burn the files to blank CD R or CDRW, using the following settings : · File System CD-ROM ISO Level 2 · Mode 1/2/XA · Character set ISO 9660 · Finalised, single session · Write speed slow (e.g. 2x, 4x) Finalize the disc. (The application may do this automatically.) NOTE : Packet writing application for drag & drop copying cannot be used for creating an upgrade disc. Use only a dedicated CD writing application allowing ‘disc at once’ recording. No UDF setting as well. 2.

5. When the disc has loaded the first upgrade screen appears. Just press the REC key on the remote control three times to continue. If you would like to abort the upgrade, press any other button and the tray will open. 6. The main upgrade selection screen appears. ‘Main’ and ‘Loader’ refers to two different parts of the set’s software. By selecting either of those, you only upgrade that part of the software. If you select the ‘All’ option you upgrade both.

7. In this case, we select the ‘All’ option to upgrade both parts of the software. 8. When you’ve selected your option an information screen appears displaying the current software version and the software version you’ve got on the disc. To proceed, press the REC key on the remote control three times. Press any other button to cancel the upgrade process.

9. The software is inspected for any errors or corrupt files. 10. After the inspection the upgrade carries on upgrading the first part of the software.

11. When the download from disc part is done, the tray opens.

12. While the tray is opened, the upgrade continues on the screen. 13. When the upgrade is done, turn off power by unplugging the mains from wall socket. When you turn on power, recorder will start with new software.
