With no DVD/cd in the tray press set-up->menu->step->prev->next gives access
to a secret menu. Region bypass can be accessed.

Region Code Hack: Turn the power on / press 7,4 then select (if this doesn’t
work, try 77). Secret menu is now enabled. Scroll down with the directional
button to set the country code to = 13 or 0 then press [select]

select. Highlight Macrovision and press select, then type in either 1+0 (10) or 0

Turn on DVD and open draw, press SETUP, select CUSTOM, press 33333.this
opens secret settings menu offering regions 0-6.

Make sure the drive tray is empty before proceeding. Press the Setup button on
your remote control. Press the VOL+,VOL- , VOL+ ,VOL- . The onscreen display
should show "VER #" indicating the currently set region. Using the left and right
cursor keys, change the region code to 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2, and so on,
or set it to 255 for multi-region playback. Press the Setup button on your remote
control
