Access Control DVD VIDEO CD POWER Access Control limits viewing of Discs that exceed the limits you set. This feature will not limit viewing if the Disc manufacturer did not code the Disc. Philips cannot guarantee the availability of Access Control with all Discs, and therefore denies any liability associated with unintended watching of Discs. Make sure your Discs play according to your Access Control settings before you allow children access to the DVD Player.
Access Control (cont’d) 29 Play Once/Play Always With Play once or Play always, you can disable or enable viewing of a specific Disc. The Player memorizes settings for 120 Discs. When you select Play Always, the Disc currently in the Player moves to the top of the list. When the list is full and you add a new Disc, the last Disc in the list will drop out of the list. 1 Insert a Disc. The Access Control message will appear on the TV screen if the current Disc is Locked.
Access Control (cont’d) Setting Parental Levels DVDs may contain alternative scenes that conform to the Parental Level, or movie rating, that you select. Access Control (cont'd) 31 Changing the Country If a Disc has Parental Level coding, the codings are applicable only for the country specified on the Disc. The Disc manufacturer sets these codings. For example, a Disc may be coded at Level 3 for the United States. So, for some Discs, you may need to choose the Country for which the Disc is coded in order for the Disc to play at the Parental Level you select. Video FTS DVD 1 VIDEO CD Favorite Track Selection (FTS) lets you play your favorite Titles/Chapters or Tracks/Indexes in the order you select. An FTS Program can contain 20 items (Titles, Chapters, etc.).

SACD Sound Mode There are three types of Super Audio CDs: single-layer, dual-layer, and hybrid. Each may contain two areas of recorded audio or sound modes: High Quality Stereo and High Quality Multi-channel. A single-layer SACD may contain both Stereo and Multi-channel. A dual layer SACD may contain both Stereo and Multi-channel, but twice the amount. Hybrid SACDs have two layers, the CD and SACD layers. Within the SACD layer are the SACD Stereo area and the SACD Multi-channel area.
