Open the tray
Input the numerical sequence 2180 followed by the Region number
of the software you wish to play (use 9 for Region Free)
Close the tray

Open the Tray
Key in on the Remote Control 8, 4, 2, 1
The Region Menu should be displayed
Use the scroll buttons to select the required Region
Close the tray to select and complete

Open the tray
Input the numerical sequence 2180 followed by the Region number
of the software you wish to play (use 9 for Region Free)
Close the tray

Press the Setup button on your remote control.
Using the onscreen menu, select the Preferences option.
Press the Still/Step button on your remote control.
Press the Prev button on your remote control.
Press the Next button on your remote control.
You will now enter the hidden setup page, and can change the player to any Region or set it to Region Free. You can
also disable Macrovision from this menu.

Insert region 1 disc - you get region err - but, this tells the player which region DVD you wanted to play.
Eject the DVD, take the DVD of the tray and close it.
Press and hold Stop (on the player) until initial is displayed both on-screen and on the player panel.
Whilst initial is displayed, press Open on the player, be quick.
Re-insert the DVD and close the drawer - BINGO!
NB: that's the factory reset , after doing this reset the player will play ANY disc but when you eject it the player is
region coded again , of course the downside of having to do this every time is that you loose all of your settings.
Converting to Multi-Region if the above does not work:
To temporarily
change the region on this player
Press and hold Stop (on the player) until initial is displayed both on-screen and on the player panel.
Release Stop button.
Press Open/Close on the DVD player to open the disc tray
Insert a DVD of your chosen region into the drive tray
Press Open/Close on the DVD player to close the disc tray
NB: You must complete steps 3-5 while Initial is still being displayed
Your player will now be set to the region of the DVD you inserted into the player, until you next power it off.

Power the player off.
Press and hold 'DVD Menu' and 'On Screen' on the player.
Power the player back on.
Release both buttons.
Press Standby. The word TEST should appear next to a number.
