Make sure there is no disc in the player's tray.

Press Setup, Stop, Skip Backword, Skip Forward on the remote.

You will now be in a hidden menu where you can change the option Region ID to 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2, and

so on, or Bypass for multi-region.

Press Play, followed by Setup on your remote control.

There is also an option for disabling Macrovision.

1. Make sure the player is in Stop mode. (does not matter if there is a DVD in the tray or not).

2. Press Menu, Previous, Next, Previous, Next, Previous on the remote.

3. In the upper right section of the screen you will see "VER 2" (or whatever region is set).

4. Use the cursor up and down buttons until it says "VER 255" for region free.

5. Press Menu.

To enable VCD playback, and change Macrovision settings:

1. Change VER 3001 and 4001 to 3000 and 4000 respectively to disble Macrovision.

2. Change VER 5001 to 5000 to enable VCD playback.

Press Eject leave tray open.

Press 1, 1, 1 and 1 followed by the region number you want.

You may see *** appear in the top left of the screen, this is the point at which you change Region

Close tray and play the movie.

Press Skip left

Press Skip right

Then you can select the region code with the cursor
