2. Save the file as CREGIN.TXT
3. Burn this single file to a CD-R using ISO 9660 Mode 1 format (not Joliet).
4. Insert the CD into the DV-740H - note this is not a firmware flash, merely accessing a factory setting.
5. "R0" should appear in the bottom left of the screen - if it does not you may already have a multi-region player.

1. Open a text editor and start with a new blank page. Type the exactly the following:

1. Power on the player.
2. Press Open.
3. Press 3, 3, 0, 8, 8, 0
4. R0 appears on screen or similar
5. Press Close.
6. Power the player off and back on again.

Turn on the player
Ensure that the display shows "No Disc"
Press STOP on the players front panel
Press FORWARD SKIP on the players front panel
Press BACKWARD SKIP on the players front panel
Pres PLAY on the players front panel
Now on the Remote Control Press "0"
Open the players tray, Insert the DVD you wish to play
Close the draw, You should get a message appear on the TV screen
To complete the process, press OPEN/CLOSE

1. Press Pause on your Remote Control.
2. Press 3, 1, 4, 1, 5 and 9.
3. Press 0 for Region free, 1 for Region 1 or 2 for Region 2...
4. Press Pause.
5. Power off your player and wait a few seconds.
6. Power on your player.
This may enable you to view the firmware version of this player:
1. Press Setup on the Remote Control
2. Select TV Aspect and place the cursor on the 16:9 Wide option.
3. Press 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3 and 9.
4. Press Enter.
5. You should now see the version information screen
6. Pressing Setup to exit this info screen.

Press the Open button on your remote control to open the tray.
Press the 7 button on your remote control.
