Convert to Multi-Region (newer firmware), if the above does not work:
1. Press Open button on your Remote Control.
2. Press Setup.
3. Press 9 for Region Free, (or 1 to 6 for region).
4. Press 4, 0, 1, 0.
5. Press Step.
6. Press Shuffle.
7. Press Next.
To check the current region setting (newer firmware):
1. Press Open on the Remote Control.
2. Press Setup.
3. Press Shuffle
4. Press Step.
5. Press Next.
6. A secret menu will appear, inside which you can scroll down until the words Debug Item appears, where the
current region status is displayed.
To fix low sound output volumes
when connecting to your TV via SCART on newer firmware versions:
1. Press Setup button on the Remote Control.
2. Press Stop.
3. Press Step.
4. Press Angle.
5. The word RFOUT will appear on screen briefly and the sound will now have been adjusted to normal levels
6. A secret menu will appear, inside which you can scroll down until the words Debug Item appears, where the
current region status is displayed.
To convert this player to Multi-Region (older firmware):
1. Press Setup on the Remote Control.
2. Press Title.
3. Press Step.
4. Press Next.
5. Using Up and Down, select the Region of your choice or Bypass for Region free
6, Save and then Exit the menu.
Converting this player to Multi-Region if the above does not work:
1. Press Program on the Remote Control.
2. Press Right Cursor.
3. Press Right Cursor.
4. Press Enter.
5. Press Play.

DVD player. The machine will appear to turn off, but don't panic. Soon the disc will be ejected. Remove it and then
turn on the machine. You'll see the logo, then you'll know you haven't broken the family DVD player.
