This brings up a hidden menu (If it doesn't work 1st time open & close the drawer & try again after a few seconds)

Select the 1st line of the menu and press Ok

Then select 0 for multi-region - CAUTION do not touch any other settings

Press Exit to leave the menu and the hack is complete

Open the drawer of the reader via the remote control.

Press successively keys 8, 4, 2, and 1.

Choose the zone desired in the menu.

Note: this setup may not work after step 2 for some models.

Converting to Multi-Region if the above does not work:

Open the player's tray via the remote control

Press INTRO

Press 2, 0, 1, 1.

Press 0 for region free (or what ever region you want)

The screen should display "Set OK"

Disable Macrovision:

Make sure there is no disc in the palyer and open the drawer.

Press 4, 5, 6, 1 on the remote.

The first Multi-Region setup may not work after step 2 for some models.

With the remote control...

Open the tray.

Press Intro. A hand is displayed on the screen.

Press 2 0 1 1 and 0 The display says "SET OK".

The player is now region free.

Region changes will be lost after the player is powered off. Simply re-apply the setup when needed again.

Bose (General code – may not work for all Bose models)

First insert a region1 dvd into drive.

When it has been inserted using the Bose remote control, press and hold the play key for 30seconds or more.

Let go of the play button and then type in 999 on the control, and it will set it to multiregion - to change back do the

same again but use the code 000
