Push the SETUP button on your remote control;
Arrow down on the remote control to the "Exit Setup" option - BUT DON'T CHOOSE IT!;
Now press, 1, 3, 6, 9 on your remote control (TIP - Get pretty close to the unit as the open tray may block the infra-
red);
Using your remote control, press < three times and then > once;
A new option appears on the Set Up Menu called "Version", choose it and press the ENTER/> button;
Exit all the menus until you arrive back at the blue screen with the DVD logo on;
Now press the P/N button on your remote control. The word "MULTI" will appear at the top of your screen.
Close the tray by pressing the button on the unit.
This is permanent and won't render your remote control useless.
Proline DVD-1000
Open the DVD players tray.
Place a Region 1 disc in the tray, but don't close it.
Press the buttons 0, 1, 2 and then 3 on your remote control in order, one at a time.
Press the play button on either your remote or the player.
To change the player back to Region 2 only functionality:
Open the DVD players tray.
Place a Region 2 disc in the tray, but don't close it.
Press the buttons Return and then Play on your remote control in order, one at a time.
Proline DVD-2000
Converting this player to all region:
Press Menu on the Remote Control
Press 1, 6, 7
Exit the menu
Proline DVD-2500
Press Menu on the remote.
Press 1, 6, 7.
Mute for Region free.
Exit the menu.
NB: This setup only works as long as the player is plugged into the mains. Once power is lost the handset setup will
need to be re-entered.
To Enable VCD playback:
Insert a music CD.
Press Menu.
Press 5.
Press Eject (tray should remain closed).
Press 1.
Press Index Menu.
Press Eject (tray should remain closed).
You should now see a menu where you should select 1 to enable VCD playback.
Freezes with RCE encoded discs. No known problems with models using new firmware made available in January
2000. Earlier firmware versions will not play The Matrix and require an upgrade, this does not remove the setup.
Proline DVD150HT
Open the drive tray.
Press buttons 9, 8, 1, 7 on the remote, one at a time and in order.
You will now be in the hidden menu, where you can change the region code (1-6) or use 9 for region-free.
You can also disable Macrovision in this menu.
