If 0 for Region free fails, try 9

Power on the unit.
Press Open on the player's front panel.
Press 3, 3, 0, 8 and 8 on the remote.
You will see in the top left of the screen "****" appear.
Press 0 for region free (or press a the region number required).
Converting the player to Multi-Region:
Power on the unit.
Press Open on the player's front panel.
Press 8, 9, 2 and 6 on the remote.
You will see in the top left of the screen "****" appear.
Press 0 for region free (or press a the region number required).

Turn device on, with no disc in the tray.
Wait for the "no disc" hint the on the players front panel display.
Enter code 2, 9, 1 and 8 on then remote control.
Press Enter.
You should see a higden menu.
Scroll down to the line COUNTRY CODE
Replace old setting (i.e 1 or 2) with value 13 for region free or select a specific region.
Scroll one line down and ignore the other settings there.
Press Play on remote control to quit the hidden menu.

Turn on with no disc in. On the remote control, press "SETUP". Select "GENERAL" (certify that the "SETUP" is on
"BASIC". Press "DISPLAY". Press "CONDITION". Choose region code and quit "SETUP".

Turn on your dvd with no disc in it
Press the "setup" button on your remote
Highlight "general" in green ( press the "right" button to move over )
Press "down" once ( it will bring up the setup section expert or basic make sure basic is highlighted )
Press the "display" button once. It will now show the setting for the region of your dvd player use the 1 - 6 buttons on
the remote to set . Press the "condition memory" button once to save settings ( you won't see anything fancy happen
when you save your setting ). Repeat the steps again to change back.
