4. Press 111 for region 1, or 221 for region 2.
5. Press 0, 0, 2.
6. Press 0, 8.
7. You should now have entered a code in the format XXX-YYY-08 which should be indicated on the onscreen
display.
8. Press Play on the remote control.
To reset the region change counter on this unit to enable another 25 maximum changes:
1. Press the Play button on the player.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: 1, 5, 9, Play.

Converting the player to Multi-Region:
1. Press System on the Remote Control.
2. Press 1, 6 and 7.
3. A box will appear requesting a new Region be entered
4. Press Mute for region free (or press desired region number).
Enabling VCD playback:
1. Insert an audio CD.
2. Press Stop.
3. Press Menu.
4. Press 1.
5. Press RDS Search.
6. Press Open.
7. A menu will appear in which you can enable VCD playback.
8. The screen can also be adjusted for VCDs in the TV Aspect Menu.
Disabling Macrovision:
1. Insert a DVD.
2. Press Stop.
3. Press RDS Search.
4. Press System Menu.
5. Press 5, 9 and 7.
6. Press Exit.
Converting the player to Multi-Region if the above does not work:
You will need a One-4-All universal remote for this (Send the infra-red code RC6 (aka Codeset 4, Key 235)):
1. Set up the remote with the code 0, 5, 3, 9.
2. Press the MAGIC button.
3. Press 085. The display should read '----'
4. Enter the following with the normal Marantz remote: 222 222 005 255.
5. Press Enter.
6. The player should now be region-free.
To change to a specific region:
1. Set up the remote with the code 0, 5, 3, 9.
2. Press the MAGIC button.
3. Press 085. The display should read '----'
4. Enter the following with the normal Marantz remote: 222 222 005 00, followed by the region number required.
If you do not have a One-4-All universal remote:
